How annoying, I just spilled my sad heart out over at the magazine and guess what, it seems I can no longer post anything on those forums as apparently I'm not a member on the magazine?
So I'll post it here instead, better than putting it to waste I suppose!

IS HE PUTTING THEIR FEELINGS B4 MINE??????
I asked my husband for his bruv's address as there are things I need to know about things that have happened in the past. Although in the past the things that happened are having a detrimental impact on our lives today. Our family is worse off today because of something his bruv did in the past, a BIG part that he played in orchestrating a temporary split between me and my husband. Anyway my husband knows this has always bothered me, as there are many pieces to the puzzle that have always been missing, and my husband wont give me the answers that I need to move on. So I suggested asking his bruv for the answers, I just want to know WHY he was so intent on splitting us up.
Things could be so different now if his bruv hadn't twisted his arm into kicking us out of our family home in 2003, a long time ago, but we lost a lot, and we are suffering now from it, I need to know the truth before I can finally put it to rest.
BUT my husband is refusing to give me his bruv's address. His reason is,
"My brother is in contact with my sister and she would hear about this and it might upset her"
But I am the one that is upset, and this has been upsetting me for a long time. It's like a dark cloud looming over our relationship, over our whole family set up. I need to know what the hec is going on.
Is he right to think like he does?

Yes here I am sat alone with my thoughts! My nine month old baby is actually SLEEPING! So far I have managed to make the beds (all four of them), and eaten lunch (beans on toast, lol)! This has to be rare indeed!
The last few months, since baby arrived, have been, to say the least, hectic! Can't remember the last time I had time to sit and eat and gaze into the garden whilst pondering over my thoughts.

Quite a contrast to yesterday, when I was stressed to the limit with housework, and a screaming baby. Well our house is on the market so whenever a viewer is due to call I go round the house like a headless chicken making sure it is presented to the high standards that I once maintained on a daily basis before baby's arrival!

Usually I am sat in my dressing gown patiently waiting for my baby to sleep before I can even take a shower, since my baby screams the whole house down if I leave her alone for any amount of time! Yesterday, as I knew I had to fix the house up for a viewing, I decided to place the playpen right outside the shower door, and then I nipped into the shower room. But Amelia just screamed the whole time I was int here despite me singing to her and cooing from the shower room, she could hear me, but I really think it just made her scream for me even more!
So today I took her into the shower room with me, as soon as I closed the cubicle door she screamed! But once she realised I was in sight, after I smeared the steamy shower screen so she could see me she seemed fine. Although I had to cut my shower short once I realised she had a shampoo bottle in her hand! Still that's the first time ever in the last nine months that I have finally managed to have a shower early morning instead of hanging around in my sad old dressing gown all morning, lol!

at school and college, hubby at work, baby asleep, it's actually, dare I say, QUIET in the house!

Spent the last month or so researching various locations, within a twenty mile radius of hubby's workplace, to move to. Been a bit of a headache actually. Trawling through property market websites, checking out all the different locations with regards to performance of local schools, neighbourhood crime statistics, flood risks etc! But after all that we decided it's not a good idea to relocate just yet since my is midway through his GCSE's, and apparently no secondary school willa accept coursework from another school. So seeing as moving area would have a detrimental impact on 's education we are now looking for a new home around our village, well within walking distance of his school anyway!

The whole house on the market thing has started to cause some stress in the relationship between me and hubby. It's bound to I suppose. The usual ; him saying we should go our separate ways, and sulking like a - he's good at that, lol! Anyway I decided to go for a rather LONG walk yesterday with baby, and eldest two (aged 15 and 18 years). Considering I've lived in this village for the last 8 years it's amazing there are so many cycle paths and green areas I've never been to b4, never knew they existed really, man I should get out more! With the sun in our part of the world, rather nice out there again today, it was quite pleasant going for an early evening (5.30ish) stroll! As my ran up to the top of quite a steep hill I watched them as I stood at the foot of the hill with the pushchair. It then occurred to me that I actually remembered what my ex looks like (eldest twos's father, haven't seen him in at least eleven years). When they asked in the past what he looked like I'd tell them he had fair hair, blue eyes, was quite tall and stocky, but for the life of me I couldn't seem to picture his face in my mind anymore. Until yesterday when I saw my running up to the top of the hill, that's whats Tony (my ex) looked like all those years ago - he looks like my ! Well my 15 year old is much taller now, taller than my 18 year old , taller than me, almost as tall as my hubby, so yes it's inevitable I suppose that he will grow to look something like his biological father.

Anyway enough thinking for me, I must make more practical use of my precious time, and sort the laundry before Amelia wakes up!

THE SNOW IS STILL FALLING!!

Yes, if you haven't heard already the UK is currently in a state of 'panic' as snow has bought the whole nation to a sudden standstill. We are experiencing the heaviest snowfall in 30 years here in the UK! The are loving it, especially since they haven't really seen proper snow before in their lifetimes. And 80% of the schools and colleges/universities are closed! Because the teachers just can't get in to work. Roads are closed, either due to black ice or simply because there the snow is too deep. The car wheels just churn up the snow and get stranded if any drivers attempt to drive to work. Some drivers can not even get their cars out of their drives, the snow is that thick! Roads are too treacherous to use and snow covered cars have been left abandonded on the streets as drivers make a frantic escape home through the blizzard conditions. My husband was one of the few in our street last week who drove to work! It took him 20 minutes to get to the end of our road, and then the car could not make it up the hill. Luckily two men stopped by in a van and helped to give his car a good push up the hill. When he got home from work he struggled to park the car back in the drive! I've heard in Canada there is a law that property owners have to dig the snow out of their driveways!
The local councils are running out of salt to grit the icy roads. They had never stocked up enough in the first place, as Britain just never gets snow to this extreme! Therefore it is only the major roads that are being gritted. The minor routes, like ours, residential areas etc, are just having to cope with the snowed in roads. I have never seen so many people actually WALKING to the shops to get their food this past fortnight. It really is something like out of the blitz age, lol! Cars just remain parked in the drive, most never risking to venture out in the icelandic like conditions. The local supermarkets shelves are looking bare as lorries struggle to reach the countryside with food supplies. We are currently experiencing a shortage of white bread, lol! I don't mind, as I only eat brown/wholemeal myself, but my girls wont eat anything other than white!
We have our wheelie bins still outside in the snow on the roadside waiting to be collected by the bin men. They've been there since New Years Eve, and there's no sign of the bin lorry making it through the snow!! We are piling our rubbish bags up in the garage since all the bins are now full to the brim.
It is quiet outside, bleak looking. You can count the few cars that drive past our house now, and you can usually hear them getting stuck in the snow, as their wheels churn and groan through the snow. It is even dangerously icy on foot, already they've have been several deaths reported on the TV new due to pedestrians slipping on the ice and being hit with hypothermia. There was even talk of gas supplies running out what with the whole nation whopping up their heating in the sub zero temperatures.
I was out in our back garden the other day taking some photos and almost got frost bite on my fingers, lol, it was that cold!
Personally though, I am ENJOYING the wintry scenes that greet us when we pull back our curtains each morning!! It really does feel Christmassy, with all the trees and shrubs draped in snow and the glistening sun on the white outdoors. I still have our Christmas tree up in the conservatory, it makes me feel so happy, like Christmas is till here, I know so like. I really ought to take It down this weekend!! But I don't want to. With all the cold outside it's nice to have the warm glow of the Christmas lights indoors!! Oh don't get me wrong we took down all the icicle lights and decorations from out the front of the house once new year came, but it's just the 7ft Christmas tree (of which I am most proud) that I am dragging my heels to take down. I got down the boxes ready to pack the tree and baubles away but I don't know, I just do not have the motivation to pack them away and put up in the loft right now. All the snow is keeping my mind in permanent a state of CHRISTMAS MAGIC!!

And the snow is falling agin today, weather conditions are set to get worse next week!! Our nation is about to learn a severe lesson in snow!

WHEN WILL IT ALL GET BACK TO NORMAL??????????????

Phew, doesn't time fly by? Christmas is here already! Doesn't seem like five minutes has passed since last christmas , seems like yesterday in fact, lol! My are all growing up, christmas seems like a lifetime away to them, but not to me, not when I'm an oldie, lol! 2009 has really been a life changing year for us all, my family that is! Was pregnant for first half of the year. We flew long haul for the first time ever, two week holiday to Florida, can't afford to do that very often, lol! Got married in February, had building work on our house - which seemed to take forever, considering it was supposed to be a four to six week job, took four months inf act, that's builders for you I suppose! And of course my fourth was born ( fourth and last I can tell you).
Well I was pretty much prepared this year, in the way of christmas presents. Ordered them all online - would not put myself through the torture of going out to the shops this time of year, especially with an unsettled baby in her pram - and had them all stored away in the loft by the end of November! Now I have the time consuming job of wrapping them all! It's ok, wrapping, well I love wrapping in all the christmas paper - gone for a gold theme this year. But just lately I'm lucky if I find time to do the dishes, let alone extra curricular past times, lol! That's because I have a four month old baby, soon to be five months old (doesn't seem that long ago when I first found out I was pregnant!). She's a feisty little lady - can't think where she gets it from? She tends to stay awake most of the time, only ever sleeping from 3am in the morning. Yes that means my hubby and I are kept up all night trying to entertain her, or desperately trying to get her to settle. Have been surviving on three to five hours sleep a night since she was born. Don't know how we do it, but God I have aged about 10 years in the past four months, and you can see it in my worn out face, lol! We have resorted to leaving her to cry in her cot now for anything up to 20 minutes at a time, and boy does she have a loud cry. It's not nice having to leave her to settle herself to sleep like that, but we have been left with no other option. Still I'm just looking forward to when she becomes an active little . Can't wait to chase her round the house! Wont be long now. My nine year old keeps asking ,
"When's Melie (Amelia) going to walk Mum?"

Well back to talk of Christmas! My has her christmas disco tonight at the primary school! She has been looking forward tot hat for weeks now. Oh she does make a fuss over choosing an outfit for the annual occasion! She did look lovely yesterday when she tried on her new outfit - she chose it all herself, I don't have much of a say in what my likes to wear, lol! She's gone for all red, lovely red patent little ballerina style shoes ( yes she did drag daddy round the shops yesterday to buy a pair - but I'm sure he loves it really!), red skinny jeans (yes all her jeans must be SKINNY now, she refuses to wear her boot leg ones any more), and a little red top which she'd had in her wardrobe for some time, but never got round to wearing it, until now she has managed to team it with some red numbers!
I could go on chatting forever on here, but I'd better not as Melie, will wake up then I'll running round like a headless chicken, dashing to prepare her a bottle![image]

Sleepless Nights!

I am so not as young as I used to be, as I am finding out right now, lol!
For my new baby - she is five weeks old on Monday - is keeping me awake most nights with her on tap demand of milk feeds, lol!
Amelia is quite an active baby as well as a hungry one. She does not settle easily, as she prefers to be carried all the time. She will happily fall asleep in my arms but no where else, not without a crying session first!
So the health visitor has advised me to leave her to cry rather than to pick her up all the time. But I can't stand leaving her to cry. Amelia would scream down the whole neighborhood given half the chance. It's bad enough when I'm in the shower and she begins to cry. I do hate leaving her. Especially when I know once I pick her up she immediately goes quiet, and instead she starts cooing, and she has even started smiling! She is hard work but at the same time very rewarding, just to see one or two of her little smiles is enough to compensate for the sleep deprivation!

Well baby Amelia is finally settled fast asleep in her pram right now, but for how long I wonder? lol! She tends not to sleep for long periods, not yet!

I might try get some sleep myself once I've finished sorting the laundry.

My finally arrived early on Monday morning -20th July - at 11 minutes past midnight weighing in at a hefty 9 POUNDS AND 2 OUNCES!!
I guessed my fourth might weigh a little heavier than my others, but was really shocked at the weight!
Midwife turned to us after delivery and asked us to guess the weight of new baby, I said about 7 pound 8, and she laughd and said no, more like a nine pounder. "NO WAY!", I gasped!
No wonder I had felt so sluggish and put on so much weight throughout pregnancy!

Well I am still feeling quite exhausted from the delivery - there was a near emergency in the delivery room, when the midwife had to press the emergency call button as baby's shoulders were stuck! But one last BIG push and out she came!!!

We are still stuck on a name for her though, can't agree on one yet, I know we really need to get a grip, lol! Only six weeks to register her birth, so we have to name her fast!

By the way she is a really content baby, only cries when she needs a feed, and she soon settles after a cuddle with mum or dad!

Right I'm off to catch up on my sleep!

Have to buy a BIKINI, lol!

I am now three days overdue, not that I'm at all surprised by that! As I have always disagreed with the expected due date given to me by the 'medical professionals'! I've always known the actual date of conception and so I have been going by that dat - 30th October 2008 - and calculated my baby to be due around end of July! Although, of course, the hospital is apprehensive to allow me to go so far 'overdue'!
So I'm looking to be induced next Thursday, or possibly the week after if I have my own way, lol! My has a sleepover party at the weekend and I don't wont her to miss out on the fun with her friends birthday, plus my has school trips next Thursday and Friday and again I don't want him to miss out on that - besides we paid for his trips months ago!

Anyway I referred myself to the delivery suite yesterday, at the assessment unit. Basically because I have had concerns about the presentation of my baby - how baby is lying in the womb. She had been oblique (sideways) which after having googled, I found to be a dangerous position if I were to go into labour. But no worries as baby is now head down, two fifths engaged, so the doctor told me!

Also had a quick tour of the unit, where I was impressed by the water birth pool, so much so that I have booked myself in for one! heard water births are a good form of pain relief, much more relaxing than the standard births! So I have to buy myself a bikini, as I'm not too sure about sitting in the pool starkers in front of a team of midwives and doctors, lol! The pool itself is massive, very deep, has to be apparently to soothe the pains of contractions!

Oh well, it wont be long now, my baby should be here in two weeks at the most!

Not looking forward to the labour, absolutely petrified, but I just don't wanna think too much about that right now. Trying to focus on having my baby in my arms!

Just attempted to post a question on the Friend Finder Advice Lines over at the magazine page.
Seems I can't do that any more. Link keeps on coming up as YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM THIS GROUP.

Like what the hec?

Oh well haven't been active on this site for some time so I don't know what's been going on, lol!

Or maybe site's just playing up?

I have noticed how my previous blog post photo seemed to be super imposed and my writing got smaller, like squeezed in beside the photo.

ARE THERE GREMLINS ON HERE AT ALL?

I AM 32 WEEKS GONE!

Yep and I look it, and feel it too, big time!
I have come to the conclusion that, at 37 years old, I am not as fit as I used to be!
I took it for granted with my other three, all in my twenties, when I seemed to just sail through pregnancy!
Now at 32 weeks, I feel sluggish, practically like an invalid!
No joke, I can barely lift my own weight. I can't climb up on stools like I used to when reaching to clean or dust top of the cupboards. It's agony just bending down in the shower (hope not putting anyone off their dinner) to reach for the shampoo bottle.
My ribs ache, my back aches and I had been having excruciating chest pains. Last weekend had a bit of a scare, when doctors suspected blood clots. So had to be rushed down to emergency outpatients department at hospital. I could barely walk from the car to the reception desk, anyway it seems doc put it down to a torn ligament in my left side. So have to be dosed up with paracetamol, but even the pills don't make much difference to the pain.

Oh well, sorry if I've put anyone off pregnancy for life, all my moaning seems to have put my own daughters off having a baby anyway, perhaps they'll change their minds when baby is born!

Still the weather's warming up, makes a nice change! Got at home for the half term break.
