I would describe myself as a somewhat shy person. My work however doesn't allow me to be shy. I work as an instructor/advisor for students with disabilities. Stressful but rewarding. I'm a simple person and dislike the clubbing scene. When on a date, I would rather have quiet surroundings where we could talk and get to know each other. When at home, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, talking with friends/family, listening to music. I am really into Indian music (oldies, ghazals, 70's, anything with good lyrics) and movies. I also learned swimming as that is an interest, however I haven't had much chance to go swim recently. I am also taking a sign language class as that will help at my job, besides that I'm genuinely interested. I am not looking to relocate, so I prefer someone who is in NY area.

My Ideal Person
I'm looking for someone who has patience like I do and is serious about all this. That person also has to be open minded, understanding, with a sense of humor, be romantic. I'm vegetarian and would like someone same but am open in that area. The person does need to be in/around NY area.....
