I still believe that god made everything in pairs. Dark and light, hot and cold, sad and joy, big and small, happiness and sorrow, high and low, and of course the proverbial "good" and "evil". The point is, you can not appreciate one without the other. When god made man, he saw it fit to make a woman also. Then again, one may argue, that god made man for man or a woman for another woman, i have no quarrel with that. Still, they are pairs, or partners if you will. Some lucky ones may have already found their lifetime "pairs", while others are still searching. Heck, a lifetime or two may not even be enough.

Me? im still searching. But along the way, i have had the pleasure of meeting and knowing some terrific people. Some of whom i have shared unforgettable moments with, and to them i will forever be greatful, if only for making my journey bearable.

A chair is still a chair
even when there's no one sitting there
but a chair is not a house
and a house is not a home
when there's no one there
to hold you tight and no one there
you can sing goodnight

A room is still a room
even when there's nothing there but gloom
but a room is not a house
and a house is not a home
when the two of us
are far apart and one of us
has a broken heart

now and then
I'll call your name
and suddenly your face appears
but its just a crazy game
when it ends,
it ends with tears

Darling have a heart
don't let one mistake keep us apart
I'm not meant to live alone
turn this house into a home
when i climb the stairs
and turn the key oh please be there
still in love with me

Before going deeper into that killer diet that you've raving about, let me share a conversation i had recently with my doctor:

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! .... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
'If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:
'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

AND......

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans..

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION
Eat and drink what you like.
Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

A Gentleman and A Lady Of Blogsville "Live in Manila"

...

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to meet in person some of the people who have earned my admiration and respect in the FF Blogs. I was excited, no, i was ecstatic when I learned from Charmigirl that they were in Manila. The day was set for the meet. But because of some "cosmic snafu", i missed the chance of meeting Tone, and Gardencitygirl. Needless to say, I envy anna, charm, gray, Pink, Belle and all the rest who got to meet them.

Anyway, I am sure Tone and GCG had a funtabulous time here, thanks of course to our local FF bloggers who went out of their way to give our special friends a taste of Filipino Hospitality (because we have so many hospitals here...hehehe) Great job guys!

I fall in love
Then I get hurt
When bad luck hits
I get it first
To try again
Seems useless now
I know i'll get hurt again
Anyhow

And I always get caught in the rain
It seems my heart stays in pain
I always get caught in the rain
This heart will never be the same

In my short stay in FF, ten months to be exact, I have witnessed how friendships were created and flourished, alliances formed, and romantic relationships forged.

sad to say, i also witnessed the demise and utter destruction of these relationships.

The culprit? Gossips Galore

I think its the way the system is set up. When you see or talk to each other 24/7, you're bound
to run out of topics about yourselves to talk about. And what could be more fun than talking about one's self? Talking about the lives of others of course.

Soon, someone is bound to say something, or divulge something which was said in confidence, it only takes one react to put chaos in motion. Pretty soon there will be confrontations. Hurtful words, threats will be hurled back and forth. And when the "smoke" settles down, new alliances has been defined.

Its really bad when you have friends from both sides because now its "you're either for us or against us" situation. They are actually asking you to choose which side are you on, which I think is unfair.

Oh well, such is life in FF. You either love it, or hate it.

Please don't ask me what am i thinking
It's about you
And please don't ask me
I never can see you
What can i do
My first impulse is to run to your side
My heart's not free, and so i must hide
Please don't ask me
What i'm gonna say to you

I toss and turn
Can't sleep at night
It's worrying me, I go to bed
Turn out the light
But your face i see
It only hurts
The more i pretend
That we could ever
Be more than friends
Please don't ask me
Why I'm so in love with you

You could easily make me happy
That I know
But I try my best to never tell you so
I will sing to you my love songs
And pretend but I'll keep my distance right down
To the end

Please don't ask me why I'm not talking
I just can't explain
And please don't ask me
Why I go walking out in the rain
I could not live the lie it would take
To have you here would be a mistake
Please don't ask me
Why I'm so in love with you
No please don't ask me...

When I first came to the blogs, I felt at home right away. At first, i was enjoying myself by just reading the posts, and they were wonderful posts. Some, utterly magnificent. Soon, i was giving comments to the posts and sharing my views.

The one thing that really amazed me was how the FF Blogs community rallied behind each other. Some posts were heart-wrenching but the replies were awe-inspiring coming from bloggers i came to know and respect.

So i hope you understand where i'm coming from when i say that we may not always agree with everything that is being posted here. But that does not mean that we have the right to be rude or discourteous when trying to express a dissenting opinion. I believe we can express our own opinion without being too abrasive. I think its alright to tackle issues, but why don't we keep the personalities out of the discussion.

This is our BLOG. May I enjoin everyone's help to maintain it as wholesome, informative, and entertaining as possible. Let's leave the innuendos and sarcasm at the chat rooms.

Thank you very much for your time.

The Power Of Love

To All who have dogs/cats as pets.
I would like to propound a question.

If You were given one power which you may only use once...

First Power: You can change your dog/cat into a human being.

Second Power: You can change your self to become a or a cat.

The question is:

How can you show your love to your pets. Which power would you choose?

(extra points will be given if you will explain your choice) Thanks.
