WTF !!!! That is what they did to me. Had a tumor about the size of a golf ball. Took my gall bladder and about half my stomach
I am youngest in the place.... "the kid"

I firmly believe anyone who plants a tree is an Optimist ... that they will live long enough to enjoy the "fruits" of that tree. I found a young Cottonwood tree and decided to plant it west of the house.
The potato crop just seems to be growing along
Here is how it sets on the East side patio upon a wrought iron table.

I know many of you would never ever believe I could stoop to any depravity.
.
However,,,,,,, While at the hospital I did show off my buns to ThRee lovely nurses' aides. I mentioned that while in college I'd done some exotic dancing ( Stripping ) for some extra money..........
both aides giggled then ripped the Hospital underwear from my rump as I stepped into the shower............. I also noticed the RN took a peak around the bathroom door,
I brought a pair of the disposable undies home with me.................. as you can see the woven mesh is very light weight & FLIMSY !

Crop Report July 29

It's been quite awhile since my last crop report in here.
Mr. Kimble came by and took a look at things and said everything looked fine.
You might remember I planted my own ginger root a few weeks ago. LQQKIE !!! tWo of them have buds poking up through the soil.
The Hawthorn tree is going crazy with so many shoots and new growth in every direction. Amazing what a sunny, wide open space can do for some new vitality.
I composted some high nitrogen chicken poo poo then put it on the Pink Niagara Grape Vines....They have gone LEAFY CRAZY !!! Have to see if we get any grapes.

Not every ear of sweet corn is a perfect roasting ear. It is necessary to go back through the rows to pick the "leftovers" and make the most of them by canning or freezing. For me right now freezing is the easiest method.
Some of the ears are ok... you just have to trim around the bugs.

Other ears are small "scrubs" with just a few bites of corn available.
When you have all the sweet corn trimmed from the ears.it is time to guess how much sugar, salt, and water to add in order to cook the kernels.
About mid-way through the cooking I could tell I needed a bit more water.
I bring the corn to a good solid, full, rolling boil for about 15 minutes.
I turn off the heat allowing to corn to cool to room temperature before bagging it for the freezer.
JD just wanted a steak and baked potato. I'd picked up crab salad for myself at the store along with a yam that I made into zesty fries .

I have one of those sweet "Granny" type renters in my main complex. Rent always a day ahead of time. The smell of cookies & bread waft into the hallway from her end of the building.....
She called me personally on my work phone "I Have water running across my floor can you help? " Yes Ma'am! I'll be right over !" <My Guy Martin would normally handle this.... however, he is doing the work of three men right now and had to take his sweet mom into the Doctor and her English is not the best.
The trickle of water causing her consternation came from a defective waterline to her washing machine.... Down into the shop workbench... 3 of them right there waiting to go into service....Granny's Consternation solved! I charged her a sugar cookie!
