John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, 1*3 November 1*718 – 30 April 1*792 became Earl of Sandwich at age *10* upon the death of his father. . During his life, he held various military and political offices, including Postmaster General, First Lord of the Admiralty, and Secretary of State for the Northern Department.

The modern sandwich is named after Lord Sandwich, but the exact circumstances of its invention and original use are still the subject of debate. A rumor in a contemporaneous travel book called Tour to London by Pierre-Jean Grosley formed the popular myth that bread and meat sustained Lord Sandwich at the gambling table. Sandwich had many bad habits and vices. Lord Sandwich was an avid gambler, the story goes, and he did not take the time to have a meal during his long hours playing at the card table. Consequently, he would ask his servants to bring him slices of meat between two slices of bread, which could be held in one hand. A habit well known among his gambling friends. According to this account, they began to order "the same as Sandwich!", and thus the "sandwich" was born.

With the multitude of bread types and rolls

The vast array of meat choices.

Cheeses galore...

Not to mention condiments, jams, jellies, mustards, ketchups, and spreads

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SANDWICH?

Ours probably has to be the cold meatloaf sandwich on basic white sandwich bread.

My poor old grape vine wreath needs washing after the winter's dust and dirt. A few new flowers might not hurt either... Clean the oil lamp & shade too

However, Robins have taken up residency atop the wreath. I can hear babies chirping. Just every time we go out the front door, I water my plants, or want to decorate; the dang birds raise a fuss and half attack. Much more and they will find their nest out in the ditch across the road.

I lucked out and picked up this early CSA notes from a parish in Louisiana in 1862. Pointe Coupee Parish is Northwest of Baton Rouge. Point Coupee is the oldest white settlement on the lower Mississippi, having been made by some wandering Canadian trappers as early as 1708. Bienville established this place as a military post, before the commencement of New Orleans. These *two banknotes could easily be the last in existence

I been on the phone with mom. She was crying and quite upset. My older sister has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. While those who have known me over the years know I have yet to say anything nice about my evil older sister ... I am troubled. and unsettled tonight.
She used to tell me if I didn't obey her I'd end up like my other brothers.... buried under the front porch.... The dirt was kinda dug around under the front porch when I'd peek under to verify.

Filled the saddle tank for the lawnmowers. Yes part of it is a business tax write off and the cost increases are passed to my customers too.

THANKS JOE BIDEN

Two years ago under President TRUMP it was $1.99 a gallon.

I spent the better share of my morning along with a good chunk of the afternoon helping my guy ,Martin. We have a sideline Landscaping and lawn care.... The season is just getting started. Some places needed mowing others didn't.

There were also some carpet issues that needed addressing....A couple phone calls with an estimate will solve that.

I leave you with a little smile I've got to lay down for a little bit and want this posted.
