Lessons from the laundromat So...I've been slacking on laundry... I own my own washer and dryer, however because I haven't been keeping on top of the laundry, it got to be...overwhelming. I figured I would do myself a huge favor by taking it to the laundromat, piling it ALL into the washers and dryers at once. I could focus ALL of my attention on the task at hand (and not become distracted by more exciting stuff, elsewhere in my home.) I managed to get 5 loads taken care of today (yay me ) Here is what I've learned: 1.It is EXPENSIVE to wash clothes in a laundromat--I spent probably $30 to wash and dry the stuff! 2.Dirty clothes take up WAY more space! 3.Clothes don't smell as nice when you dry them in a gas dryer. 4.If you MUST go, go early--when the natives wake, demand becomes HIGH (and the pressure is ON). 5.Lastly, keep on top of your laundry--that way it doesn't get away from you. I don't think I'll be doing this again, anytime soon! |

hmm--that's a novel concept! Sounds like you've come to a reasonable solution. As far as the ironing goes, I can think of MANY things I'd rather do, than iron *I think I'd rather clean the toilet bowl with a toothbrush* lol !!!
