On your grits...

Ugh--3 hours is a LOT to lose coming back home -- all the same, I had a fantastic trip to Utah. So much, that I will likely go back!

Next time round, I hope I'll get the chance to see the Grand Canyon. I guess its about an 8 hour drive from where I was, in Utah.

I had the opportunity to try some new food (I guess I was feeling a tad adventurous.) We stopped at a place called Cabella's (they ROCK!) where I had a bison burger for lunch. I also got to try ostrich (yick!) and elk (tasted like shaved roast beef). I tried grits for the first time (I don't know why, but I always thought grits were a pancake type food lol) Anyhow, I'm curious to find out what YOU eat on YOUR grits? (if you like grits, that is...) I've heard suggestions of cheese, milk and brown sugar, ketchup (eww!)....

the picture is one I took...I'd tell you where it was, but I can't remember!

thank you! I thought so too The scenery in Utah was stunning. Quite a bit different than I'm accustomed to, here in scenic Nova Scotia. I love it here, but then again, I'm a tad partial

Trying the new foods, was interesting. I guess I can't knock it, if I hadn't tried it, right? I didn't mind grits--reminded me of porridge at home. Although, I've heard it compared to a slop of gruel

they are both doing very well. They've got a super cute AND charming grandson (who'll soon be a year old) to keep them on their toes.
