Finished... FINALLY !  I'd picked up these medallions at a thrift store a few weeks ago. I didn't care for the black and copper motif so I'd play a Martha Stewart on them.  I gave them tWo thick coats of a white semi-gloss paint. Then started in "dry -brushing" various shades of gold onto the raised areas. I had to come back with the white several times to correct my brush strokes.  Here's the finished product and up on the wall in the Beemer Pad.  |

Been a goofy sort of day. Canned a quart of string beans, froze a bag of sweet corn ( enough for a batch of corn chowder ) Finished the medallions and hung them up. Simmered a batch of beef stroganoff for dinner tonight over noodles whenever JD is ready. Not feeling the best and would like to lay down.

I love the look of the finished medalions. Took a lot of work, but they are fantastic and a great addition to the exBeemer pad. It's been a very busy weekend and very hot in the shack. Didn't get into the lobby chat room until very late so missed everybody. Have been eating all my meals outside on the patio. Now on Monday morning, it is dark overcast, 90% humidity, 59F. I had to turn on the furnace to bring down the humidity level inside the shack, as I had left all 14 windows open during the night. I had squares and circles for breakfast and am now going to pour a 2nd cup of coffee down my neck.

I fall asleep at the drop of a hat... no matter 2where I qm or what I might be doing....... I set down ion the office or up in the kitchen or out in the dang shop..... ++.

It is currently raining here a comfortable 74 F.. 23 C overcast. Waiting on JD to come in for dinner. Nothing exotic steak, potatoes and corn on the cob. Met the dreamiest 25ish JD in the grocery store while he was selecting a pineapple ... got his phone number too. We'll just call him "Sam"
