"Boothill"

Several members have mentioned loosing their beloved pets. I'd planned this blog a few days ago just to show the peaceful beauty of the hill.

The Catalpa tree on our "Boothill" where we lay our pet horses, dogs, and cats is in full bloom. The orchid like clusters giving off their special sweet scent.

I also have Tiger Lilies next to the tree.

Here lies my ever so special Heidi who was featured in numerous blog on another site.

The Hawthorn tree I transplanted to our yard is doing well. I've hit it with nitrogen .

The yellow string beans by the shed are starting to form blossoms.

My "potted" potato plants are thriving. I don't expect a major crop due to crowding but it does make for an interesting focal on the patio.

Your "boothill" is really a peaceful and serene place for your late pets to spend eternity. Looking at Heidi's marker brought tears to my eyes, as I recall how special she was in your life.

You might get a few spuds from your potted tater plants. Give them a chance. They are looking healthy.

A gorgeous 76F here, nearly calm, mostly sunny. I managed to absorb a couple of hours of solar UV radiation into my skin before lunch, then took the dog for a walk. She went further than normal and nearly did me in. I was at the point of collapse on the sidewalk as I struggled to get her back home. I have to realize my age limitations.

It'll be nice to have some small squares to feed the horses. Is that your 2nd hay cut already? Around here the first cut hasn't been taken off yet.

I had a homemade beef burger and a chicken finger burger for supper outside on the E patio tonight. Chased them down with an iced tea.

Heidi's passing hurt me deeply and emotionally I wasn't able to make doggy blogs ever since.

The potato patch was totally an off the wall experiment.

No this is a lower pasture not far from the river and has flooded before.

I need to make some sun tea... Give Earl Grey a try.

Their loss was such an emotional drain on us.
