Green Thumb

I'd Finished up with my Doctor at the hospital ... My A1c was 5.2 but I am still loosing red blood cells somewhere. I seen the nursery was 50% off remaining stock... I NEVER pass up a bargain. I had my Chauffeur pull in.

I liked a hanging basket of crimson Geraniums. I just set it in the birdbath for the time being.... the is occupied yet.

were some pretty petunias I placed into the pots leading to the brick patio from the driveway.

A yellow climbing rose caught my attention... " Good Day Sunshine" of all the cute names.

I dug down by a vacant trellis in the front of the house. Protected and in good old lake bottom North Iowa Dirt should grow and produce some roses for me.

was a "cemetery box" with a HUGE colorful Coleus. The red geraniums and petunias looked healthy too so I added it to my cart. I put them in an old cast iron hog troth that came from Grandpa's way back.

was a poor lone Roma tomato plant that needed sunshine, a big pot, and some TLC with a cage to grow up in. This is my eclectic display.

JD wanted Coney Dogs for dinner. No time to do home made chili so I tossed a big can of Hormel's over the dogs to simmer..... He also got the chopped onions and cheese he requested.

Rain is on the way. We had dinner out on the deck. Just finished eating as it started to sprinkle.

Another Russian Orthodox candle is lit for the welling and swift recovery of your dog Roger.

Coney dogs a la Bretty sounds like a delicious way to have dinner out on the deck before the rain.

Those are some pretty nice plants you rescued at the 1/2 price sale. I'm sure they will all flourish under the care of your green thumb.

It got to 75F here for a short time. Then the cloud moved in, wind came up and the temp dropped to 70F, Now it is 61F, SW 23 kph, mostly cloudy. I had Hot Italian sausage on a bun with a small baked tater for supper.

Thanks for thinking about Archie. He is responding to your to your positive energy.
Little doggy spent all day sitting on my lap, recuperating in warmth and comfort. By the end of the day he was eating and drinking. He was walking very gingerly and needed me to gently lift him up and down the steps. He went home for the night but will be back with me tomorrow. His recovery is going miraculously well, considering how badly he was injured. The worry now is that he may develop pneumonia in his injured lung. That could be life threatening.

I'm glad to hear that Pumpkin was bold enough to let you know that you "dun him wrong". He needs to eat just like MUTTs Inc do.

Not enough time for home made chili to simmer the dogs in... but he chowed down anyways.

I kinda rushed things hopping about. I needed to get some new grass seeded in some bare spots in the lawn.

Pretty hard to kill a Geranium.... They are hardy enough to take the most reckless abuse.
