Babysitter

Ronnie, our stable hand was once again assigned to "babysit" me to keep me from handling sharp objects or doing anything deemed "Stupid." Ronnie then decided to help me cook lunch.

Homemade chicken noodle soup. I'd purchased a "Family pack" of chicken breasts. In the pack was one of the largest breast halves I'd even encountered. For a moment I'd contemplated that a turkey had slipped through the gates. I hadn't planned originally blogging "our" soup until the process was over and we tasted it.... Exceptional .... No way to back track and a part of the credit belong to my faithful assistant-- Ronnie.

The broth we cooked the breast in had this array of spices and seasoning. Ronnie diced the chicken as I picked the meat from the bone. I added diced celery, onions and a bag of frozen Peas & Carrots.

Amazingly *Two Chefs* do not ruin the broth! The soup was perfectly delicious for our lunch.

The rain, sleet mix we tracked from the Dakotas has finally arrived. The sidewalk appears to be wet. Currently 34 F ... 1 C the predicted high winds have not passed here.

So, you are getting some "yellow glob" rain to wash away your snow, are you? At 34F that could easily turn to snow.

Sorry to hear that your cute young Doc doesn't have a clue how to medicate your fever symptoms. Maybe he needs you to give him a "tune up".

Ronnie did a great job on the delicious chick's noodle soup. He is your new supervisory sous chef.

We had a really nice & sunny 56F here today. I went to the city with the little doggy to get a few grocs and pick up a parcel for the neighbor. Was a gorgeous day for a spring-like drive in the sunshine. Not many trucks on the highway as they are all caught up in closed blockaded border points, or participating in the convoys going on all across the country, and now being organized in Europe and the USA. Too crazy for words. A lot of the grocery store shelves were empty already due to supply shortages due to trucker protests. I snagged the last 2 boxes of cereal on the shelves.
