Remember when we … Remember when we were one of the few couples in the restaurant? It was a cold night, but we were together. You remembered that you liked the berry pie. I admit the pie was very good, but I remember gazing out the window, looking at the water, and being glad I was with you. Remember when you asked if you could join me? I was surprised when you entered. I thought I would be alone? When you did join me, I was glad you took the initiative. It was the confidence you had in you and in me that made the greatest impression. Remember when we were able to laugh? We could relax and enjoy our time together. A joke was not the reason for the laughter. It was the comfort we felt being with each other and sharing our memory. Telling our story. Being able to laugh. Remember when we shared our dreams? The discussions we had while we were close. We were able to think about tomorrow. We were able to believe in a better future. We were able to believe in us. Remember when we were quiet? We had nothing to say. There was nothing to say. There was nothing left. We forgot to remember when we … |

Rosedew, thank you for your comment. When I wrote this, I was not thinking only about the sad experiences. The idea that was in my mind was more about the shared experience ...the emphasis on the "we." I hope you are happy and well. Have a wonderful day. Take care, Randy
