FF Chemistry: Silicon vs Diamond or celibacy vs marriage? Not to give a lesson in chemistry, but hey... Everyone knows that a diamond more or less symbolizes love and marriage. But is there an unspoken “rock” of celibacy? Silicon is rarely found alone (free) in nature as it is very reactive with oxygen-O2, a natural constituent of quartz and most rocks. Silex=”flint”. When purified into wafers, silicon becomes the heart of a computer and other electronics, as well as solar panels and such. Thus, such pure silicon (relatively speaking), has been stripped away from it's all-time favorite partner and breath of life-oxygen, at the hand of man, to be used as a semi-conductor in circuitry. Yet the chip still metes the air of the social (and industrial) where it interfaces world-wide. In this respect, “ the matter (or mater)” is never lost, it is just transformed into energy per se'. So what is the allusion here? The silicon atom ends up bonding to other “celibate” silicon atoms, and in lieu of the oxygen loss. Hmmm. Of note, the Si-Si bond is also cubic structure like that of the diamond crystal, but not nearly as strong. So if this is the case in the world, where men are always allowed to meddle against what God has brought together, wherefore is that righteous marriage in God's true name? Shall we not be at the end of the world? After all, Jesus says, 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. -Luke 20. OR, is it simply a case of preference? Jesus says, 11 But He said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given: 12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it,let him accept it.” -Matthew 19 The diamond is of that element of life, namely carbon. And silicon is the element of the earth, although one might also say terrestrial bodies. But now the diamond has become obsolete as to the righteous. Even as the Radio Frequency ID chip implant will reign supreme in the coming New World Order. So what will it be for you? Hats off to those enjoined to celibacy in these last days, for whatever reason. You have come a long way baby!  Then again if you are one of those people wanting to find a friend before the bar closes, that is ok too.     |
