History confirms the Bible; Fall of the Roman Empire part 4 of 6

During the 3 previous blogs on the subject, 3 barbarian tribes of Goths, Vandals, and Huns had their respective share of attacking the Western Roman Empire. The actual fall of the Western Empire (Rome) was in earnest when Odoacer became the first barbarian (remnant of Attila) King of Italy (AD 476-AD 493), albeit a "" to the Emperor in Constantinople, on account of telling him, "yah whatever". lol. Odoacer had deposed the Emperor in the West, Romulus Augustulus. And then in AD 493, Odoacer himself was killed by Theodoric the Ostrogoth. Eventually, the Byzantine Emperor Justinian, would vanquish the Ostrogoths and reconquer Italy as well as other areas, with the help of his generals Belisarius and Narses. But whatever feint remained of any such 'consul' in Rome, would cease to exist due to the relative political pollution of the barbarians, thus centralizing rule entirely at Constantinople.

The verse in the Bible reads as follows on the 4th Trumpet:

Revelation 8
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

Note: Once again the Roman Empire aka the "Universe", as applied as governmental "luminaries" being symbolic in verse.

The following quote is from Jerome (AD 347-420), known for translating the Bible into Latin:
'Clarissimum terrarum lumen extinctum est.'= 'The world's glorious sun has been extinguished'. Although he was talking about Alaric's sacking of Rome in AD 410.

The Roman coin below under Constantine I, AD 315, has latin tribute to 'Sol Invictus' or the (unconqured) Roman sun god.

The poet James B. Percival 1795-1856, related both the 'Roman legions' and the 'cradle of Liberty' to the flight of an eagle in his poem called what else? To The Eagle (Which see).

How many other countries also use the eagle as their national symbol??? Hmmm.

The proceeding last 3 Trumpets out of 7 are also known as 'woe, woe, woe' by a listed angel in verse. More on that later.

I might add the missedthebus verbiage is simply a mockery of the universal language, which is used in most legal systems I believe.
I might also add that no small source for this blog subject is a book called
Daniel and the Revelation, by Uriah Smith. I agree with his interpretations on the matter. . The latest publication was about AD 1945 I believe.
