Bi-Weekly poem Aug 11, 2018

The story backs up to poem #6 of 12. In every loving relationship, all is still owed to God's love. This also means that people will eventually show their true colors as well. The 2nd photo shows a faint rainbow taken from my back porch last Friday. Poem all rights reserved 2004.

“Colors”

Water washed stone catches the tiger by the eye
as crowds of onlookers watch from the shore nearby.

Orange and red the carnelian glistens in the sun
as vultures circle the carcass with good intention.

Dawning and the day begins to whiten.
Enlist the help of others our load to be lightened.

Green to gold and the wheat begins to turn.
Angel of the harvest teaches the lessons to be learned.

Cast out the shadows that run the course of night.
Blot out the black that darkens out the right.

Capture and contain the yellow in the bow.
Stain of crimson to be remembered no more.

Down in the weeds and out of the blue.
What new name will He give to you?

To each his own and tomorrow will come.
But purple at dusk means the moon over the sun.

Water washed stone catches the tiger by the eye
as throngs of the faithful set time to eternal light.

Inspiration: Love and the sign of God's covenant--the rainbow.
