When they Choose to Ignore a Soulful Connection God has given me insight today into why we have those experiences of really soulfully bonding with someone, but for some reason, they walk away from the experience before we are ready for it to end. We know we experienced something with them that was 'real', even if we cannot have tangible evidence of it, and even if they did not want to accept it. It is not that our perception is off or that it did not happen, which is the mind game we tend to play with ourselves, and which our society reinforces. It is that, for some reason, they cannot go there. Perhaps the emotions evoked are too intense for them. Perhaps they are in too deep for their situation in life. Perhaps they need more control than they know they can have in those situations. Because we all know when that intense LOVE, the true, soulful kind that takes you over-takes you by storm-can turn your world topsy-turvy whether you are ready for it or not. Some people just cannot--WILLNOT--allow themselves to be overtaken that way. Perhaps they have been overtaken too much in their past, and it has caused them pain. The Truth is that soulful love is real, is true, and is a gift from God; but not everyone, indeed maybe even most people, choose to accept it for very long. It is an intensity that has the ability to sear your being into a new creation with each other if it is allowed to exist, and most people just cannot handle their life being overtaken in that way. We need control. We need to call the shots. We tell ourselves we need what we want, not that we should want what we truly need (which only God truly knows). Being Born Again means many things, but in a practical, social sense it means being always open and always willing to love. It means saying "Yes!" when someone asks you for something, not, "Hmm, I'm too busy, sorry." It means loving people unconditionally as Christ loves us, regardless of how they might treat us, regardless of what the world would say they 'deserve'. Unfortunately, many people-those who are not Born Again in the Spirit-know and crave love (which is God) in their life, yet they aren't willing to let Him in all the way, they only want a little bit of love, in the quantity and dosing they choose. In short, they want to control the essence of who God is in their life. Love should not be controlled or sheathed like a sword. Love should be your shield, always shining in front of you as an example of who you are, and as a testament to the importance of God. So, for all those lost spiritual loves of mine, I release you into the ether of the sky and into the remembrance of yesterday to vanish from my mind as but a sad wisp of wasted time. I have been given the ability to live in the God-realm, in Truth, as intense as it can be. And I only desire to be in union with others who desire to as well. God bless~ |
