Hi! Sorry, - I'm not financial here, but if you like what you see, look me up on "RSVP" -! Who am I? I'm a 48 year old teacher ( tertiary level.) I work part time. I am Separated, and I have two older teenagers, still at home. I'm usually easy going, and usually outgoing, but I can be pensive at times, and need some solitude. I love meeting people and engaging in deep, intelligent conversations, and also just 'catching up' with what is going on in life. I tend to be a slow deep, thinker, and I'd describe myself as a pragmatic idealist. I tend to have a strong sense of justice, and am passionate in many ways and about many things. I love ideas, and learning. I'm the essential sensualist, and I ADORE all the following: meeting people, animals, ALL God's creation, dancing, reading, literature, music, movies ( especially ones that make you think,) theatre, the arts, buswalking, swimming, going to the gym, dancing, cooking, good wine, aromatherapy, giving massages, the smell of pine needles, roses, and the earth after showers; sunlight on water, sunlight on raindrops, forests, the ocean, watching waves, roaring fires, picnics by raging rivers or quiet lakes; ( did I mention dancing?) and ANYthing to do with wild, WILD places. I am especially interested in writing, photography, psychology, natural science, culture, and people and I have travelled widely and lived overseas, and wish to again. I am passionately NON- conservative politically, and this would be an important thing for me to have in common with someone in a deep friendship or long term relationship. I am also a committed Christian, (but I respect others rights to think differently.

My Ideal Person
The following poem, (once written by me) describes both my "perfect match" ( not that I believe that such is a reality, or necessary for happiness,) and what I most seek in a relationship.

"A lady in a far off land, Far across the sea, Was not free to leave her home, But longed for 'company.' She dreamed of warmth, and intimacy, And of being known, and knowing; Of reaching out to other souls, And of sharing, and of growing. "It is more blessed to give," .. quoth she, "Much more so than receiving." And surely there is SOMEONE, Who thinks likewise, And is, believing. Someone with true compassion, For his fellow 'man,' A love of all creation, And a mind that says "We can.." With eyes that laugh, And show a 'depth,' Warm, and kind and wise, That seek humility, And to understand, And do not seek disguise."
