I am a classy, intelligent woman and a retired educator. My soulmate/husband died 2 years ago and I think it is time for me to find a new gentleman friend. I have one grown daughter and we are quite close.
My interests include volunteer & community service projects (church, Masonic, Optimist Club), spectator sports (football, hockey, basketball), most genres of music, reading mysteries and biographies, taking in a live theater performance or a trip to a casino, spending time at my cottage on Lake Huron, ethnic restaurants, classic cars, backyard bird watching, and gardening. I also like dining out, slow dancing, waterfront views, and weekend getaways. And besides all that…I am a good cook, better than my mother and my grandmother. Plus, I love my English Springer Spaniel, Chauncey, who is spoiled rotten.
My Ideal Person:
Who would capture my heart...? Someone who will be supportive, encouraging, and trusting. He would be my source of laughter, strong in areas where I am weak, be his own person and allow me to do the same…my friend and my lover. Be supportive in both good and bad times, believe in mutual respect and admiration... appreciating each other's differences while sharing similar values, morals, and at least some common interests. I believe the most ideal relationship would be to marry and be hopelessly in love with your best friend.
My match would be a classy gentleman in the metro Detroit area, 50-63 years of age. Appearance is secondary to character and personality. He must be intelligent, caring, compassionate, respectful, and a good conversationalist...someone who would make me laugh and treat me like a lady. I like someone who can be strong without being controlling. I appreciate good manners, men who smell nice, and simply sharing a pleasant time together. A real turn-off would be to be with someone who acts desperate, puts on false airs, or tries too hard to impress. I truly appreciate a charming man who knows the value of romance in a relationship. Things like holding hands, flowers, white wine, love notes, fireplaces, thunderstorms, and passionate kisses are most welcome.
I miss having a special someone in my life and look forward to hearing from you. Until then...
