I live in Canton, MO, home of Culver-Stockton College, one of my Alma Maters. Graduated with BA in Psychology and Sociology, did Master's Level work in Education and Special Education. I love people, animals (esp. cats, dogs and horses), nature, fishing, dancing, bowling, cards and other board games, difficult crosswords, mystery, sci-fi and horror are my choices of fictional reading, also enjoy biographies. I have many interests and am multi-talented, functionally versed in minor household repairs, as in electrical, plumbing and carpentry. I need "blinder" on when I go through the tools section of a store...I will spend too much there.
I am 62 years old chronologically, younger in mind. I am 5'6" tall with graying brown hair and olive green eyes. I am considered overweight, but am losing weight and inches (for myself, not others). I am in good health and plan to stay that way. I have lots of love to give to the right man. I have been married twice, with 16 1/2 years between 1st and 2nd husbands. If my pattern continues, I should be about due to remarry in in a couple years (smile > > ;) ;) meaning nudge,nudge, wink, wink).
I love to laugh and share humor with friends. I am a compulsive punster and enjoy word play. My pet peeve is spelling and grammatical errors in newspapers or on public/professional signs and/or letters.
I have a female (spayed) dog, Gigi and a tomcat(unaltered) named Pokey...for being such a slowpoke. He thinks he is too mature and dignified to run when called....he saunters ever so slowly, so as not to appear too compliant or eager.

My Ideal Person
I would like to meet a gentle, non-abusive, intelligent man with a good sense of humor, who is understanding of the human condition and all its attendant foibles. He needs to be tolerant of a woman who is slightly warped in her thinking and sense of humor.A man who can dance would be a bonus, as would someone who enjoys the companionship of going fishing (whether any fish were caught or not). I like boating, my preference is slow boating, as in bass boat with a trolling motor and/or a pontoon boat with slow, stable speed and lots of room to sit comfortably and enjoy the scenery and the water.
He must be intelligent, for I dislike explaining literary references, etc. to someone with whom I am sharing MY sense of humor, warped and obsure as it may be. I want to settle down with the right person and be a team together of best friends and life companions with lots of love and affection thrown into the mix.
Anyone think they can fill the bill? Contact me and we can negotiate a compromise that works for us both. He need not be handsome, but I prefer he have most of his "factory issue" equipment functional. Hair is optional, and a few dents and a little rust can be tolerated. I don't mind a "fixer-upper"...I am a project kind of person, always with a goal or end product in mind.
