My sense of humor has gotten me through many trials in life. I've been told that I'm independent, intelligent, organized (hahaha), and seemingly able to do most anything. Perhaps these things are true, but sometimes more fun with others. I grew up in the West and miss mountains and snow, yes, snow. I've traveled to many areas of the country, but responsibilities of life don't make travel possible as much as I'd like. I have a high-stress job, so my hobbies are quiet and generally require focus...sewing, crafts, gardening, and reading. I enjoy learning new things and seeing what life has to offer, so watching The Discovery channel, The Travel channel, The Animal channel, and The History channel are favorites when I have time for TV. In movies I enjoy westerns, adventures, sci-fi, and mystery types. Dating seems so much different these days. The enjoyment of getting to know someone and see if anything "clicks" while doing mutually enjoyed activities can be fun. Having someone to call and say, "let's do something", would be great. I'm pretty flexible in my likes and abilities, but look forward to learning new things too.
My Ideal Person
Wow...if we all knew what we really wanted in a person and everyone was confident enough to be honest in their self-appraisals, none of this would be necessary. Most of us know what we want in our dream person, but few seldom find it. Often times we just seem to trip into the right person...fate perhaps? I would enjoy meeting men that are intelligent; compassionate; with a good sense of humor; love animals and nature; skilled in many things, but not dashed if someone can do it better (especially me); self-confident, but not to the point of being hung up on himself; have lots of common sense; tall--at least 6'; fit, but not totally into the fitness craze; able to make decisions, but open to suggestions; a listener, but able to express his thoughts; rich would be nice, but at least financially stable; independent, but willing to share time and give space. See, not too much to ask in a dream ... and it is the topic.
What would you do on an ideal date?:
Dinner at a fancy restaurant, slow dancing and a moonlit walk on the beach., Dinner at some new restaurant, dancing at a night club, coffee and maybe more at your place., A sporting event complete with hot dogs, beer, pretzels and a couple more beers., Getting food delivered, renting movies and snuggling by the fireplace.
