I admire people who have been knocked down and get right back up and try again. My own biological children are grown and have moved away. But I am raising my ex's great nieces and a great nephew, they are those kind of people. My heros! Although my family is extremely important to me, the kids still at home, are now at the ages where they manage to take care of themselves for the most part. Leaving me free to explore and follow my own interests.
I am very much a what you see is what you get type person. I don't play mind games. I attack life with the full understanding that you only live once and we must make the best of what we are dealt and enjoy every day to the fullest.
I am not perfect by a long shot (shhh that's a secret!) I find those that are or at least think they are boring. So I try not to take myself nor life's bumps too seriously. I would rather find the bright side and a reason to laugh rather than cry over spilled milk.
I'm not sure if I would be classified as a country or a city gal. I am a little of both I guess. I do like the "girly" things like heels and manicures...but I am not afraid of getting dirty either. I have lived in a small farming community, in Europe, in the city and now in a small town. I am equally comfortable in jeans as I am in an evening gown.
It would be nice if we had some common interests, but don't think a couple needs to be joined at the hip. I feel that friendship is the basis for any relationship. It's the glue that holds you together through the peaks and valleys of a relationship.
I am very much a live and let live person who is not quick to judge or make snap decisions about people or activities. With a few exceptions of course! Unless the plane is going down...I am NOT jumping out of it! Nor am I going to jump off of a bridge or tower with only a "rubber band" around my ankles! However I will gladly cheer you on if you want to do so!
I travel to the Seattle area often.
My Ideal Person:
An open honest sincere man. For friendship first and if more develops thats great, if not, that's ok too! Someone nonjudgmental, able to stand up for himself, and adventurous. A partner/friend who is secure enough in himself to lean on me when he needs to and strong enough to let me lean on him when I need to. Someone to explore and share life with.
