Hi there,
I've upgraded and updated my profile as the kinks in my life are being smoothed out. I sometimes feel like I'm trying to run through knee-deep mud, the kind the cows have been stirring up. Any mistep could get real messy.
I'm easing out of a 15 year relationship and into a further commitment to my education. The AAS degree I earned in 2000 has served me well, but I need a BS degree for what I want as a final career. My four kids (from that 15 year relationship) are behind me 100%.
With a full-time job, two heavy college courses both Winter and Spring quarters this year, and four kids to love to pieces there isn't any time to do more than swap emails with interesting folks until this Summer. I do want to talk with people outside of my normal sphere of co-workers and family, but don't quite know how to go about it. I was a shy, uncertain girl growing up who never learned how to have fun for fun's sake.
Here are the things I enjoy the most:
Riding horses (but sold mine 12 years ago)
Gardening (grew mostly weeds last year, but it was a new plot)
Reading books (been stuck in the Romance genre for a bit, but Piers Anthony, Isaac Asimov and Mercedes Lackey all have a place on my bookshelves)
Listening to music (Journey, Andrea Bocelli, Mozart, Cher)
Learning about the world (especially the things that counter the media's doomsday message)
Investing (although the recent performance of the market has me grinding my teeth)
