My best friend would say I have a dominant personality. I know what I want and tend to go after it, but I also know when to back off. I don't like the 'bar scene' and prefer somewhere I can talk and hear the other person so that I can get to know them. Besides, crowds get on my nerves. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good party, but I like having time to communicate. I have been out of the dating scene for a while because of several long-term relationships from which I finally took a break before jumping into another one. I enjoy living in Tampa and am tied here for a little while longer due to my work and graduate school, so for now Tampa is home, where I will go from there is where ever the wind takes me. When I'm at home (and not bringing work home with me) I enjoy spending time with my cats, and listening to music. I enjoy anything from Evanescence (I love her voice) to Queensryche, or some retro 80's music. I work with kids who have been abused and / or have behavior problems. I even just finished putting on a conference themed around kids behavior problems. (See there I go off on a work tangent again) When I'm not at home or at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Friends and family are the most precious asset anyone can possess. If you think you can handle a workaholic who loves her cats, friends and family, and is a little strong willed, drop me a line, and we can see if there's a spark.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for someone who is ambitious and follows through on their plans, but doesn't mind following my lead, or at least lets it look like I'm in control. I also don't want someone who will allow me to walk all over them, give me a challenge, and don't make it too easy or I'll get bored and a bored Yoli is a scary thing. I want someone who is willing to talk, and doesn't just sit there like a lump. I am looking for someone who is willing to get out there and experience life before it passes them by, someone who isn't afraid to exercise their brain and can go head to head with me in a debate of politics, religion, or the state of the world or what ever. In a relationship, I am looking for someone to be my equal, not my submissive (although that can be fun too). I am looking to meet people and date, if the dating leads to something more permanent or long term that's great, if it's just two people hanging out and having fun, that's great too. Right now, I am not looking for long term, but if I find it, I won't turn someone away.
