I make friends easily. Maybe it’s because I smile a lot, or maybe it’s because I try hard to make others feel at ease, but I’ve always had a knack for making new friends. I like traveling and meeting new people (which is why I love cruises—that and the ocean and gorgeous sunsets, that is.) I do have a romantic streak; I love curling up on the couch with a good romantic comedy, and there’s nothing nicer than watching a couple slow dance to a romantic song (except maybe being the one dancing--when I go dancing, I’ve been known to stay out all night long.) I love a challenge, whether it’s building my business, learning Spanish, or getting a shy party guest to let loose a bit. I believe that if you have an extensive music collection, you’ll never need therapy or medication. Music is a natural high for me; my favorites are Motown, jazz, salsa—anything you can move to. I’m loyal to my friends, my family, and the Baltimore Ravens. Family is important, and I travel often to see my five kids and three grandkids. I’ve been lucky enough to find love before, so I know how great it can be, and I’m not afraid of the ways it can be hard.
My Ideal Person:
I always know he’s thinking of me (maybe because he emails me to tell me so.) A good smile with shining eyes is important, and that tingle I feel when we first lock eyes lasts longer than the first two dates. He can join me for dinner with a company CEO or my housekeeper, and charm them both. If he won the lottery, he wouldn’t quit his job (and he’d give some to March of Dimes.) We can be anywhere doing anything and have a great time. When he sees my favorite candy bar at the store, he buys it for me. He’s open-minded and believes in equality (yes, racism is a turn off.) He doesn’t have to be a good dancer, but he’s game to hit the floor to make me happy. We alternate late nights out with calm mornings making pancakes then snuggling on the couch with a movie. Holding hands on a beach in Mexico is not out of the question. He asks how my day was. He calls to make sure I got home safe. He’s a brilliant communicator, a master at compromise, and he looks me in the eyes when we talk. Honest and loyal, he loves his family and he could get to love mine. We help each other enjoy life, and each day we love each other more than the one before.
