I've been told by women that I'm a good listener and that I have integrity. I've also been described as interesting, funny, creative, passionate, nice, and intelligent. I've not been described as outgoing, but I tend to get along well with (some but not all) extroverts.
Activism is a huge part of my life.
Some of my favorite movie (in no particular order) are: Killer Klowns from Outer Space; The Revolution Will Not Be Televised (documentary); The Spirit of '76; Dream; The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T; Labyrinth; The Seven Faces of Doctor Lao; Ecological Design: Inventing the Future (documentary); Alcatraz is Not an Island (documentary); Polyester; Serial Mom; and Phantom of the Paradise.
In recent months I've been revisiting an old, old Australian TV drama, Prier: Cell Block H (about a women's pri). It holds up really well, IMO.
Some of my favorite books: Ecotopia by Ernest Callenbach; most books by Winona LaDuke, particularly Last Standing Woman; The World Without Us by Alan Weissman; Tending the Wild by M. Kat Ander; Island by Aldous Huxley; Walt Disney and the Quest for Community.
My Ideal Person
Are there any female activists on here? An honest person who knows how to treat people with respect and gives about the world. A sense of humor is always nice.
What would you do on an ideal date?: Getting food delivered, renting movies and snuggling by the fireplace.
Tell us about your personal style and why it works for you. Casual and comfy? Sharp and professional?: I enjoy dressing up, but dressing casual is fine too.
