I've been looking for you but I'm not sure you're even out there. Everytime I think I've found you, I find out I'm wrong - and I find out the hard way! I am a 37-year-old single, white, Jewish female, professional. No , non-smoker, no drugs. I'm pretty, intelligent, and have a quick wit (okay, I'm sarcastic). I also have a quick temper but it calms down fast too (unless you really cross me). I love reading, music (classic rock), TV, movies, plays, sports, and dancing. I'm addicted to the NY Times Crossword puzzle. I'm old-fashioned in the sense that I believe in manners, chivalry, taking things slow, hard work, and respect. I'm also very independent and can be extremely stubborn. I can enjoy an opera one minute and the Rocky Horror Picture Show the next. I'm a great listener. I'm complicated, difficult, and a man would need a lot of patience to be around me. He would have to keep on his toes but he could also relax. Men tend to say I'm challenging (a few months later, they say I'm a pain in the ass) but definitely worth the effort. Most importantly, I love animals and my is the number one priority in my life. The best way to my heart is through her.
My Ideal Person
I'm looking for a man who acts like he should have lived in the 1940's: well-mannered, HONEST,respectful, hard working, loyal, intelligent, a great sense of humor, and most importantly, doesn't carry a cell phone everywhere he goes (or at least would never think of letting it ring or answering it while out with me). He is articulate, curious, a great listener, romantic, reliable, and ambitious. He doesn't just talk about what he's going to do, he does it! Doesn't smoke, would never do drugs. This man would find a bag of money in the street and return it. He would give his seat up for someone on the subway. He would never forget my birthday. He wouldn't be a snob. He would never go hunting. He would never betray my trust. He would write me poetry, remember what I say, play a killer game of Scrabble, and never pass up the opportunity to dance with me - whether out or at home. He would never walk away when I'm upset or crying. He would love my dog and instead of bringing me flowers, would bring her a biscuit (or both). He would be a mensch. He doesn't have kids or an ex-wife hanging around. And all of these qualities would last more than a few months. Is he out there?
