I don't care much for profiles that begin with a physical description of the profiler, as if the body you come in has anything to do with who you are. Know this, I am intelligent and unique. I am an avid reader but you won't find much in the way of best sellers on my bookshelves. My interests are metaphysics, the occult, spirituality, conspiracy theories, the paranormal, U.F.O.'s, Native American culture and spirituality, alternative medicine, science fiction, slam poetry and more. I'm the kind of person who tends not to have nearly enough time for all the interests I have. I love nature and wildlife and will not harm another living creature. Sometimes, just watching a flock of birds fly across the sky in formation is awe inspiring. I'm a morning person, though I can be coaxed into a late night now and again if there is something going on that I'm really interested in. I don't like drama, or head games. My objective is to live a peaceful, uncomplicated, simple life. I work full time during the week, and part time on weekends, it just seems to be necessary. I don't smoke, don't care for being around drugs or heavy drinkers. My politics are liberal verging on anarchy but I am not an activist. I am more one who sits and quietly watches the world as it goes by. I don't particularly care for getting to know someone through IMing. I don't want you to ask me to call you right away. I'm in no hurry. I much, much prefer getting to know someone through emails. I am in love with the written word and want to know someone's heart and mind before I decide to meet them in real time. I am introspective and reflective, perceptive and sensitive and interested in the inward journey. That said, I do have another side that is fun loving, and a bit adventurous and a little wild. I like exploring and learning new things and having new experiences. I may be getting older but it doesn't mean there isn't a whole lot more to experience. I've never been married and don't have any kids, maybe I've just always liked being free too much, I don't know. I am more comfortable being alone than most, a day or two without seeing or talking to anyone doesn't bother me in the least. I am on a journey of self-exploration and am looking for a kindred spirit for friendship. If it develops into something more, fine, if it doesn't, fine, but let's at least start there.
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for someone who has a sharp wit, someone with a dark, sick and twisted sense of humor. I would like to find someone who is well-read, likes independent and foreign films and theater. They should be positive and see the glass as half full. They should be both passionate and compassionate. They should like to go to book fairs and used book stores, and like a variety of music. I want someone to go to the movies with, theater, blues festivals, the art walk, to see local bands, someone whose life is full and doesn't need constant attention, but enjoys the company of a smart woman.
