Hi! As a single parent looking forward to 'empty nest' years, I am looking for that special someone to shar my life with. To that end, I am looking to meet new friends in the hopes that Mr. Right will find his way into my life.
I enjoy rock'n'roll music, walks on the beach or in a park, quiet evenings by the fireplace. I am a morning person, and try to treat others with the patience and respect I like to be treated with. I am loyal and expect loyalty in return. I tend to be shy at first, but warm up quickly when comfortable with those around me.
My Ideal Person:
My ideal person will accept me for me ... I try not to put any acts to impress people; rather, I am a "calls'em as I sees 'em" person. That's not to say that I am deliberately cruel or heartless -- I try very hard not to be! But I try my best not to play games, and expect others to behave the same way. If you are a square peg, don't expect to fit in my round hole -- or vice versa! There are no 'one size fits all' pairs in this world, and to pretend otherwise is to court frustration. Let's not go there! I prefer to chat with individuals online at least a couple of times, and if it is mutually desired, set up an in-person meet. If and when this time comes, I feel safer meeting in a public place at least the first or first couple of times, depending on how things go. I am not one to jump into meeting a new person and going off to secluded locations for any hanky panky, and do not wish to be pressured into doing so.
