Happy Birthday happy birthday Gerri..... Happy 21st.... just Gerri and I.. Retail therapy, eating, chatting lol
boy we had so much fun...
I got Emirates to arrange a birthday cake onboard...they did and also took some picture shots haha weather is really cold.... Gerri is not adjusting well but David got her more jackets, gloves, put the heater on etc..such kind soul ....
when we arrived we hit the Fashion Capital that morning we were so tired and worn out as we did not really get much winks from the night Emirates is really noisy haha Gerri got alittle shaky when we were waiting for luggages thinking that she was on the luggage conveyor instead of our luggage lol
we had very light meals the whole day as we try adjusting to climate, water and food... oh yes we did savor hot chocolate at Koko Black! yum awefully sinful.... its belgian chocolates, thick and creamy.. aha come on dont believe a word i say... FINE! lol next we sent for David to pick us up from Chadstone home to rest up abit before hitting Knox shopping
the next morning, we got up and head for Richmond there is a huge sale that day... David got news from a tv programme He went to check the site, printed the address for us to scout ... that was really sweet of him...
We hit Richmond, stroll alittle, had fish and chips before going to the city Gerri was going gaga when she got to the city...yes i know SALIVATING!! like a village girl going to town... i know my girl is not from a village and she is so into retail therapy but when you do step into a huge fascinating city that is the feeling... YES sensational!
visited cathedral, museums etc... yeap i know i am not a museum person... but for my girl... is ok .... There was this huge event Salvador Dali happening then... we got from Federation Square to St Kilda's only to find more more more people The queue for ticket was so damn long and Gerri wants to give up the idea I told her i can queue while she rest and shop for more Salvador Dali's items at the bookstores but she sadly turned it down
we left the museum pretty late as we got to some exhibitions there and so now what! we have only about 4hours to shop You kidding me???? yeah... Gerri and i went to a french pastry shop... had some tarts.. aha dont believe me again ... then go check the pics up we picked up a really nice fanciful mixed berry cheesecake to celebrate with the Cohan's
its 5.30pm shops were closed...sky is pitch dark... Gerri and I hand in hand stroll towards the tram stop.. we passed by some carriages, florists and took more pics I know Gerri enjoyed herself very much... she turned to me and commented 'mum, this is our 2nd day' sigh
we celebrated Gerri's birthday ....sang song, cut the cake, had a merry merry time
on the 3rd day... we head for Duty Factory Outlet, Gerri picked up more items there hey cool its affordable ...
we flew home.....home sweet home
indeed i understand this trip its very short but overall we enjoyed ourselves very much VERY REWARDING....
April 30 until May 11 - Melbourne, Australia... its the time of the year.... Autumn what do you expect the crisp crackle of leaves underfoot as i crunch through Melbourne's Yarra Valley heaps of gold, brown and russet creating a muted seasonal kaleidoscope of color
we visited some vineyards bought bottle of Rose and we got some champagne etc.. slept most of the time because i am not a drinker heheh oh yes the Villa provided chocolates, strawberries etc etc we went to Domaine Chandon vineyard for lunch I loved the concept bay window with skylight Ordered a nice platter and dessert
we also did Coldstream Brewery on a separate day .... their MUST TRY EVER popular Cider Beer we had our lunch there...grilled prawns in vine leaves YUM roast capsicum with minced lamb with spice herbs thumbs up!! kangaroo with mashed parsnip yeah yeah yeah and a really nice stir fry olive oil garlic brocolini I enjoyed it
Dec 19 till Jan 1, 2009 Melbourne, Australia Been to Geelong -75 kms south-west of Melbourne
The name ‘Geelong’ is derived from ‘jillong’, the Aboriginal word for bay, which means a place of the sea bird over the white cliffs.
This waterfront city offers a diverse range of food, wine, cultural and recreation attractions and colonial history evident in the city’s 100 National Trust-listed buildings.

Longest holiday ever in life - 3months vacation in Melbourne, Australia last quarter of 2007. The opportunity to be with nature, smell the flowers, watch sunset, walk the dog, gardening, cooking, baking. Attend opposition talks before Kevin Rudd was elected Prime Minister. I wouldnt have the opportunity to experience these if I would have stayed in Singapore
Retail therapy, facial, listening to music, reading, meeting friends over dinner/cuppa are some of the things I enjoy
