Married, with a stable relationship thanks, I lead a busy life, ferrying children, keeping household commitments, full time job and hobby interests.
Am I only looking for women? Well not exclusively. But I know loads of men friends already. Finding a few more good ones would be welcome too. I'm keen to regain a balance by finding like-minded ladies who wants a new friend too. Someone for mental exercise, wider interest or just for fun. A friend bringing a different perspective.
I have interests in aspects of history, music, politics, science. Since I've been on this list, I've been amazed by the international reach of it. Your location is largely unimportant. I live in Essex, UK but work some days from a number of locations mostly between Sussex and Lincolnshire. I think I am reasonably intelligent, articulate, somewhat creative, with a quick sense of humour, and a passion on just a few subjects. I don't get too stressed about what I can't change.

I want a friend with something to say for herself and a need to express and experience things in a different way from time to time.
I would like to find someone who can engage in light-hearted or serious chat online, a friendship rather like you might have known at college? Someone who can be funny, open and free, or serious and supportive at the right times, and vice versa, and who wont abuse that trust because they value that freedom to do that just as much as you do.

Expectations are lower and people tend to ignore you more.
But it traps smartasses into disregarding me until I have
