About two years ago, I found a link to your site and just for fun I made a profile to see what would happen. Well a year had passed without any replies, and I had forgotten all about my profile until one day I received and e-mail out of the blue from someone in my area that I had never met. Well we talked via e-mail for a while and got to talk about everything! After a month we decided to meet and see where all of it was leading us. The first time I saw Karen my heart raced and I truly felt love at first site. We have since fallen deeply in love and both decided to turn off our profiles, as we had found each other’s “one.” I figured I would write this success story tonight as a thank you to FriendFinder from both Karen and myself as we are celebrating our one-year anniversary together tomorrow. Success really does happen! I am now a 38 year old divorced male with 3 kids. I had enough in the dating sceen. I discovered Friend Finder while surfing the Net. I figured it made good sense. I figured I would take the approach of a job interview. I wrote my profile and was as honest about myself and who I thougth I was looking for. The Cupid Report sent my profile to another member of FriendFinder. She wrote me back. She was from Buenos aires, Argentina. I answered. I grew up in Texas and I was comfortable with the Latin culture. We started writing back and forth. It was slow at first, however, we just seemed to click as we wrote. We developed an e-mail relationship that went on for 2 months. We discussed everything. We were both honest at all times about our past, who we were, and what we were looking for in the future. She had to travel to Miami on business and then to Atlanta. We agreed to meet for a date. We had never spoken on the phone prior to her landing in Miami. However, we both felt like we knew each other very well from our writings. I picked her up at a neutral place. I had never exchanged pictures. when she walked around the corner for the first time how beautiful she was! We went out to dinner and the evening was wonderful. We continued to see each other while she was in Atlanta. It's not always that one makes friends or can find friends of one's own choice. I haven't found a friend yet, but frankly speaking (belive it or not) I've had not just very good but splendid moments, gained knowledge, learned about people of different kinds, races etc. This kind of knowledge is not available everywhere. I put my profile on FriendFinder, and someone from Texas answered. I was not interested in anyone from Texas, being from "Cool California" and wrote him back some flippant responses. However, he perservered, and his answers were fun, intelligent and clever. We kept emailing, until finally I gave him my phone number. He called immediately, and we have been speaking on the phone for about an hour each night. We finally met when he had a business trip to California, and the best thing was that there were "no surprises." We were who we said we were in our profiles. I didn't know what I'd think of him. I loved chatting with him, but one never knows what the person would be like in person. Would he be a dork? Would he be too old? Would he be too tall? Would he have weird mannerisms? Would I be attracted to him physically/sexually? These are things that one cannot discern over the telephone or email. We hit it off. He came to visit me a couple of weeks later. Then he sent me tickets to visit him. And then again the following weekend. We have been so comfortable together from day one and feel that we have built a very strong base. We are madly in love with one another and know that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. We both got onto FriendFinder, not because we could not find dates on our own in person, but because we just wanted to have some fun. Back in February/March of 1999, I was very skeptical about the whole FriendFinder thing. Boy was I ever wrong! I included a success story not too long after I moved in with Larenz79. We have spent a whole year together and it has been a most wonderful, awesome year! This is the update from last September/October 1999.
Last week....June 2000....we took a trip to Niagara Falls and had a great time! It's the first time we'd ever gone away by ourselves (without family or friends). He took me to the Skylon Tower in Niagara
Falls for dinner at 8:30. The sky was so beautiful. We got there in time to see the rainbow still on the falls, the sunset and the lights on the falls.
After dinner, we went upstairs to the observation deck and walked around for awhile. And not too long after that we stopped. At that point he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes! That will be a night I never forget as long as I live. We are planning our wedding for next summer 2001.
To all of those who are skeptical...it's ok, but I am not anymore. If it hadn't been for a friend suggesting friendfinder, I never would have met Larry, the most wonderful man in my life. I live in a very rural area where there are not a lot of places to meet people your own age and FriendFinder is just the ticket for people in that situation. I am now removing my profile from FriendFinder completely. Thanks!

I joined in 1998, hoping to talk to some people in Scotland before I traveled there as a chaperone with a group of high school students. The first time I visited the Friend Finder webpage and read the success stories I thought: “yeah right, I am sure these stories are written by the people who created this website themselves, this can’t be true”...
Now I suppose it would be fair enough to admit that I was wrong and that, on the contrary, this is one of the coolest sites on the whole net. When I joined the FF I never thought that it would give me the opportunity of meeting one of the worthiest persons I have ever met. In the beginning we just exchanged mails but, as time went by, we started to move into a more personal field until I couldn’t wait any longer to meet him in person. Therefore I decided to take a plane and cross the Atlantic Ocean and what I found there was a fascinating amazing discovery: a latino trapped in a Swedish skin.
Even if I don’t know yet what will happen in the future between us (if it was for me I would marry him straight away), I will never forget the emotion that both of us felt when we finally met at the airport: he was trembling with excitement and I was the happiest woman on Earth. And the days that followed that moment will for sure remain in my mind forever as one of my best 10 memories!
I thought the people in this site deserved to know that online relationships are not only words in your incoming e-mail: they can also be stories of people of flesh and blood with real emotions. Thank you Friend Finder!

I met my man through here in January ('99)...In May, I moved in with him in his house, and we were talking about getting married...
In August, we found out that we were expecting a baby...a little boy. We talked about getting married long before I got pregnant, but we had to put it off until November, because neither one of us had time to spare to get married....
And then in November of 1999, we both had a day off, and we went to the county courthouse, and got married -- I was already 4 and a half months pregnant (and showing a little bit). We've now been married for 4 months, and our baby is already here (born Feb 21st, 2000), and we couldn't be happier!
Meeting my husband was the best thing that has ever happened to me (as well as the birth of our baby boy). I'm the happiest I've ever been....and I owe it all to you guys at Friend Finder!!

I had forgotten that I was a member of Friend Finder. I had not even used this sevice for about 6 months. I had pretty much just decided that making my kids lives as pleasant as possible was going to be the only highlight for the rest of my life, when I received a message from coloblonde. We wrote back and forth for awhile and finally got around to chatting online. Major internet/keyboard time. We hit it off from the very start. The more we chatted, the more we found we had in common. A short time later we exchanged phone numbers, and let me just say this, I feel sorry for anyone who has phone bills as large as ours. A few weeks later, I had a business trip scheduled in the city she worked in and we decided to go out for lunch. It was electric!!! Amazing!!! I was saying "Oh my God", as she was thanking him. Love at first sight and all of that other good stuff. I can't even begin to describe how well things went. Even the people at the restaurant could sense something wonderful was happening, and it seemed they were ALL smiling at us. We progressed from there, went out a few times, slowly integrated our kids into the picture. Everything has gone as perfect as anyone could hope for, to the point we will be getting married in July of this year.
