I got his personalized reply, though, I was totally blown
away. He and I seemed absolutely meant for each other on

I just wanted to thank you for an excellent service. Beinga divorced single dad who was not being the singles scene
kind of guy and not being able to find the RIGHT kind of people

If there is just one piece of advice I can give to others it
would be to spend a LOT of time in compiling your profile.
Be brutally honest and direct in your profile even if some
of it is really weird or whatever. What you are looking for
is someone who matches you and loves you for who you are and
leaving critical information out of your profile will
make things very difficult for you later. The aim should
be that if a person does contact you after having read your
entire profile then they have already accepted you and
feel that they match your requirements. That way you will
get far fewer emails, but the replies you get will be worthwhile
ones!

I joined Friend Finder on June 4 2000. After loading my profile
I decided to go into one of the chat rooms. This was to be my
first venture into a chat room in my entire life. I actully
felt very silly as I joined the chatroom with three other
members. Being a novice and not knowing what to do I asked
the person with the friendliest nickname what to do. His
nick name was smiler67. Anyway we chatted in a private chat
that evening for four hours. The next day he had sent me an
e-mail. By the following week we were calling telephonically.
Exactly two months later, August 4 2000 I collected him
from the airport. I was so nervous and excited at the same
time. He came all the way from the UK to visit me here in South
Africa. Well we had a magical two weeks and only physically
confirmed that which we have known since about the second
time we spoke. We are "soulmates". We got engaged on August
6 2000. I know what you must be thinking. Those same thoughts
plagued both of us. I flew over to the UK in September for
a week to meet his family. Well to cut a long story short,
Paul and I are getting married on October 27 2000. He's quit
his job, packed up his life and starting over here with me.

A few weeks back as I was checking my E-Mail I noticed something
from someone I didn't know....intrigued I read the note....it
was from a young lady who had been searching through profiles
here and for some reason found mine interesting....I replied
to her and over the next few days we chatted on-line and over

She was going to be in town the next week for a few day's so
we arranged to meet face to face.....
We met on Friday evening after she had gotten settled in
her hotel and went to dinner....she was fasinating, very

We finally met on the afternoon of July 15, 2000. We were
really nervous at first....but never ran out of things
to talk about! We had a great time playing pool, watching
movies, talking, and just holding each other. When it came
time for Eric to leave....it took us 4 hours to say our goodbyes!
And he only left because it started pouring rain! We knew
for sure then that we were meant to be together. From the
first couple dates, we were inseparable! We fell madly
in love, and started talking marriage after a couple weeks.
We knew without a doubt that we wanted to be together forever.
Eric works and attends college in St. Charles, Missouri,
and is moving there in September. We couldn't stand to only
see each other on weekends....it wasn't enough!! So I began
making plans to move to St. Charles, so Eric and I could be
together all the time! I have never seen or known a couple
more in love, perfect together and/or inseparable like
Eric and I are. I look 70 years down the road and see us sitting
in rocking chairs on the front porch, still in love, still
laughing and having fun together. We began our wonderful
relationship on July 15th, 2000, and on August 7th, 2000,
Eric asked me to marry him! We will be married on July 14th,
2001. When we wake up on July 15th, 2001, we will celebrate
not only our one-year anniversary of our first meeting
and of being together, but the first day of our new life together!
Thank you, FriendFinder, for helping me find the other
half of me, the man who is more than I even dreamed of! I always
felt like such a huge part of me and my life was missing - until
Eric came along, now my life is complete! Thanks to you,
I will forever be happy, because I have found the one!

My personal ad was on friendfinder for only a matter of weeks
before I received a response that would forever change
my life. His words alone swept me off my feet-and before
we had even uttered a word to one another, we both knew there
was something very special between us. I knew then that
he was my warrior, my knight-in-shining-armor, and man

Earlier this year I was going through the break up of a relationship
and discovered friend finder. Not wanting a serious relationship,
I started looking for someone who could be a pen pal, friend,
someone who I could exchange e-mails with, and talk about
anything. Living in the U.K. I thought it might be nice to
contact someone from the U.S. so after sending off a few
e-mails, and receiving a few others I started to correspond
with another member from Kansas. He was friendly, warm,
funny and honest and in a fairly short space of time we realised
that our relationsip was moving onto another level. In
May we met for the first time and instantly clicked; there
was no awkwardness or nervousness as you can sometime expect
from a 'first date' and certainly no disappointment on
either side. We both felt we had known eachother years as
we had been completely open and honest from the start. Our
relationship blossomed and we fell in love. We have met
again since and already have plans for our next meet. We
speak on the phone and online everyday and can talk about
anything and everything. This wonderful man is everything
I have ever wanted and we have come to the conclusion that
we were just meant to be - so much so that we are already planning
our wedding for May of next year. Its not easy at times what
with the distance and time difference but we know we will
win through in the end.

Dear Friendfinder,
I am just so happy, I do not know where to begin.
I will start by saying that I have met the most wonderful
gentleman on friendfinder, he lives in the USA and I of cause
live in the UK, we have been in constant touch since we both
met.
Love is really blossoming between us, we talk on the telephone
and he even phones me to say goodmorning.
The best is yet to come as he is flying to the UK on the 16th
of September to spend time with me, I am so excited I just
had to let you know.
