How did you spend your New Year's?

My New Year's Eve? Well, I definitely didn't go skiing! It was pretty relaxed. I had dinner with few friends. After dinner watched the ball drop on TV (of course!), and I'm happy to say I was in bed by 2:30 . . .

My New Year's was low-key. I saw some old friends, who I hadn't seen in years; we just had a few drinks and toasted to the new year, and then I went home. There was no New Year's kiss to speak of . . . so it was only an okay evening.

Great question! I live in Vegas, and so of course I was on the Strip on New Years Eve! It was the best ever. . . there were crowds and crowds of crazy, fun, friendly, happy (some maybe too happy to remember the fireworks the next day) people. Everyone should come for a visit next year!

New Year's? I went out, of course. There's always a reason to get out and have fun on that arbitrary date.

After escaping from having to pull a full shift, running calls and cleaning up the drunk folks' celebrating, I had a raucous time joining them.

First, I had to conjure up a makeshift costume. Then it was necessary to somehow lose my digicam during the limo ride. After realizing that my license was in my duty pants back at home, my friends had to head in to grab some other friends so I could even get in.

No worries, though. Everything became much more entertaining once the booze started flowing and the dancing raged on. Not to mention the afterparty, the laughter and good friends.

So yes... quite a memorable one. Til' six in the morning!

Oh my. On New Year's Eve I was at the hospital bedside of my mum, who at the age of 77, suffered a massive stroke while out shopping with my sister. My sisters and brothers and I then endured over 10 hours of bedside watch until she finally passed away. This was what I was doing on New Year's! The only nice thing that she's now reunited with her beloved son Terry, who died four years ago. We buried my mum in a casket like Terry's, and she is now resting peacefully with him in the same grave. I loved my mum with all my heart and, along with my sisters and brothers, will remember her always.

On New Year's Eve I spent a relaxing day with my youngest son, who is home from universisty. In the evening, I called and talked on the phone to various family and friends, wishing them a Happy New Year, and then took the time to enjoy a single strawberry winecooler while listening to some good country music. Since I did not venture out of the house to party, I then logged into FF to share the midnight hour.

I seldom use the kiss icon on chat, but I was lucky enough to have a few male friends logged on as well, and so I had to send kisses to each of them, and hugs to my FF girlfriends. I didn't make a resolution per se, but, I will say I have hopes to be able to update my profile in 2006 and say, "I've FOUND Mr.Puplemix!" So if you see him before me, send him my way! Happy New Years to all the FF members!
