October is a great month wherever you live. School has started, and for those of you in school or dealing with kids, routines have become set in place. The days are getting shorter, the leaves are turning, and a sense of ‘battening down the hatches for winter’ is starting to itch at you. If you’re bored, try volunteering at a local haunted house or throw a masquerade party. If you live in an apartment complex or small community, plan an adult themed party with trivia games, a casino, sexy games, and a bathtub of beer. This can be a combination meet your neighbors and costume party. It never hurts to make new friends, especially if you’re single. Many bars and clubs will also have masquerade parties, so be creative with your costumes and get totally into the character of your choice. Remember that props are fun and can give you extra courage or sensuality. Halloween and masquerade parties bring the inner you out. This is a great time to transform into something you’ve always wanted to be, or to embrace a part of your personality that you often have to hide. Remember, in astrology, there are many facets to your personality. For instance, your rising sign is the mask you wear when you first meet people. There is something new coming your way. The seeds of a great new idea are being planted this month, but you may not see any results until August. Amusement parks, carnivals, fun houses and spook houses are on the agenda. Try not to be immature when you don’t get your own way though.

Don’t you just love all the parties that come with October? You have a chance to show off your dual nature without anyone blinking an eye. There’s a lot of time to socialize this month. Be careful of someone who is charming and makes fantastic promises. Remember if something seems too good to be true, it probably is; you don’t have all the facts so don’t make any rash decisions. Try not to be too smug if you get your own way—things can backfire on you.
Cancer: Nine of Pentacles
This is a good time to get your home and garden ready for the coming winter months. There is a self-made woman in the picture this month. This may be you or someone you meet or know. This person is self-sufficient and enjoys the beautiful luxuries of life. This card indicates growth in financial and spiritual ideas. Stop and smell the roses now and again. Enjoy nurturing plants, flowers and pets. Take a bath or Jacuzzi and enjoy the wonderful things you’ve created.
Leo: Queen of Cups
