You're not what most of us expect to find on the site. What are you doing on the FriendFinder site?

"People think its easy being a source of light, and that I should have no trouble finding a partner. It helps that others do seem naturally drawn to me, sure, but I keep finding out, time and time again, that I'm just being used. I go to all the effort of illumination, only to be switched off when I'm no longer needed. It hurts. I'm looking for someone who's willing to let me shine regardless of their own needs. I'm looking for someone who'll really appreciate my glow for it's own sake."

"Well, it's been hard. People expect an exclamation point to have a certain enthusiasm, when, truth be told, I'm not always excited. The nice thing about being on FF is that I can pass myself off as a period "it's all about the angle of the photo" and so there's not this constant pressure to be loud and flashy. I feel freer on the site. Also, if I meet my future mate on here, I know they won't love me for my job."

"Me? I like being on here 'cause I can let it all hang out. I don't need to stay tightly buckled; I don't need to constantly be supporting whomever it is I'm with. I can relax and unwind a bit. I've had a hard time of it recently -- people are both tightening their belts in an attempt to save money, but they aren't necessarily losing weight -- and it's nice to have a place where I can just let go for a while. On here, no one expects me to keep them held together. I can be myself."

"I can talk to people all around the world! No one cares about what time it is where I am; I'm free to relax and I don't have to worry about constantly being badgered with questions. I love being able to talk to others who aren't on my exact schedule. Also, it's nice to be a little late sometimes. I can log on whenever I want and not be concerned that someone might make fun of me for not always being punctual. I'm hoping, eventually, to find a nice pocket to take care of me, but for now, I'm enjoying the search."

"Honestly, I'm just having a little fun. I've been matched up with other spoons -- I spend most of my time in a drawer with others just like me -- in the past, but have nothing against other utensils: depending on the occasion, I've been paired with knives and even the occasional misplaced fork. And while I'm not literally flexible -- unless you've got psychic powers, in which case anything goes -- I'm versatile enough to be comfortable pretty much anywhere: breakfast, lunch, or dinner, from diner to high-end establishment. I like being here because I don't need to pick: I can interact with those from all walks of life."
