Halloween stories Sep 11, 2008 9:25 am
Mood: devious, 129 Views
I heard this one on the radio and I thought that I better post it now before I forget it. So, I thought I would start a Halloween story blog. Other stories will be added as I find them.

________________________________________________________________

There was this couple who lived in Europe and after they got married decided to move to the U.S. They found a town that they thought would be perfect for them. Neither of them had been there before but as they drove the wife started to recognize things. She told this to her husband describing the things on the street even before they saw them. They finally pulled up to a mansion that had a for sale sign posted. After walking up to the door they knocked. The butler answered the door and stared at them and his mouth dropped open. He then said that he had to apologize but he told the woman that she was the ghost that was haunting the house. Now the man who told this story on the radio implied that she had visited the house by astroprojecting her body. They ended up buying that house and lived there until they died. He never said if she haunted the house after she died.

GALVESTON, Texas - A massive Hurricane Ike sent white waves crashing over a seawall and tossed a disabled 584-foot freighter in rough water as it steamed toward Texas Friday, threatening to devastate coastal towns and batter America's fourth-largest city.

It looks like Ike will make it really bad down there. Let's all hope it won't be as bad as they are predicting it to be.

Obama cannot be President Sep 12, 2008 11:07 am
Mood: contemplative, 132 Views
The complaint is asking for declaratory (asking the court to declare Obama is not a US citizen, a “natural born” citizen and not eligible under the qualifications of the US Constitution to run for Office of President). The law suite is asking for a temporary restraining order (TR prohibiting Obama from running for President until documents are provided proving he is eligible to run for POTUS.

The lawsuit was filed by a Phillip J. Berg (former chair of the PA democratic party) in Philadelphia courthouse against Barack Obama and the DNC for Obama’s ineligibility to run for President of the United States based on his not being a “natural born” citizen:

Now by chance if he would win the election the court may take it away from him. This was something that I was not expecting to happen.

Obama dumps Biden? Sep 12, 2008 10:50 am
Mood: contemplative, 133 Views
There are rumors flying around that he will do this. If they are true I believe that it would back fire on him. Makes it look like that Biden wasn't qualified in the first place to be VP and what does that say about Obama's judgment capability.

Got a new pair of flip flops yesterday Sep 10, 2008 9:03 am
Mood: cheerful, 140 Views
After diner at the Diner I walked over to the mall. About half way there it began to rain. My rain coat kept my top half dry but my shoes and socks got soaked. When I got there I went into a shoe store and got me a pair of flip flops. There is one good thing about flip flops, even if you get them wet they never get soaked and as warm as it is down here I don't have to worry about my feet getting cold. Also since I don't wear socks with them I don't have to worry about having soggy socks either. A bonus is that your feet dry a lot faster than socks do.

Barack Obama jabbed at John McCain and Sarah Palin's idea of "change" today when he said, "You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig."

The way I have heard it on the radio made it sound like it was a direct comment towards Sarah Palin, but it you look at the whole statement:

_______________________________________________
The complete statement from Obama was: "John McCain says he's about change, too, and so I guess his whole angle is 'Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy and Karl Rove-style politics – we're really going to shake things up in Washington!' That's not change ... you know, you can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig."

_______________________________________________

You can see it is about McCain's policies. I guess that we will be putting up with a lot more mud slinging before this is all over in November.

Phone, phone, where's my phone Sep 9, 2008 11:04 am

Last Saturday after getting back to camp from the library I discovered that I did not have my phone. It was to late to get back to the library before it closed. I was sure I had it when I went there. Now the library wasn't open until noon today. I checked with lost and found but it wasn't there. This was my last place that I could check. Someone may have found it and is now using it for there own. That means that I will now need to go out and buy a new one unless there is someplace that I put it that I haven't checked but I doubt that.

I was a bad boy last month Sep 9, 2008 11:00 am
Mood: contemplative, 128 Views
Sunday was the first Sunday of the month which meant it was free showers at the YMCA as well as me checking my weight. I gained 6 pounds last month. Since I got back here I haven't been riding my bike as much as I use to. Also with me going to the movies more than I normally do I was eating a lot of pop corn which had that butter that they put on it. I also was using a lot of salt which is something that I shouldn't be doing. So, I got to start exercising more and definitely staying away from all that salt.
