BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS

These are the results of a 200-foot fall off the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. This is the search to re-educate myself after suffering total amnesia and starting off again as a 21 year-old infant. This all took place primarily from 1980-1986.

What this blog is all about:

A lot of this journal is addressing an individual, several directly, like too jon in the jon & Sharon chapter. Other is just me speaking my mind wondering, depicting what and why these things are happening. Why are they doing these things?

Basically, this is the view of a child, a boy a young man...evolving in a world that was brand new to him. As he is expanding in thought and growing, being shaped by the conditions and influenced by people, certain people and of the scenarios they involved him in and of the critical surroundings. While facing the challenges of an unfamiliar, an alien social structure and the cultural forces that shaped the life of this individual.
Thanks "msalchemy2"...i.e...CAT...i.e...Ancient... I personally could not have said this better!

....to show Dad was a Champion at his Club... Oct 2, 2008 10:43 am

He hit the flagpole perfectly direct, 18 inches from the flag. It was such a perfect alignment the ball then drops straight down 5 feet into the cup. What can go wrong!

The championship round is not much different then the first two. Dad is playing the sure shot, guaranteeing us to be there in regulation, while I was booming, gunning for the birdies. There are 6 holes to go and we’re up 5. Finally, Dad gets some money back; finally he’s the winner. I’m sure Dad’s going to offer me half the winning’s but I plan on only taking about $100.00. There should be about a $700.00 or so for us to split adding on to the winning the bet. Finally he gets to win! I wish I wouldn’t ask for the $100.00 but I don’t have much money.

The reality of it all isn’t the money for me; finally Dad’s name is going to be up on the Championship Wall for eternity, forever to show Dad was a Champion at his Club he’s golfed at for 40 years. Damn it’s about time!

.....shooting for the birdies or the octagonal bogies.... Oct 2, 2008 10:39 am

Around this same period of time is when Dad invites me to play in the Germania Club Golf Invitational. Now this is about the 2nd or 3rd time we’ve done this, damn were going to win this thing! In the first round Dad and I are clicking, we thump our opponents well, I believe the score was 6-5.

Dad and I are quite a team, I’m booming and he’s playing it safe. In the second round we’re on a roll. I was hitting the ball like John Daley wished he could. I was on the green normally in two or three and if I wasn’t I was shooting for 8 or 9 but Dad was playing the “insurance policy” partner well. He was down the fairway and normally on the green in or close too regulation.

I was shooting for the birdies or the octagonal bogies and Dad the pars. I remember the 10th hole; I was down there in 2 and I would have proceeded to chip on the green and 2 or 3 putt. Dad was down their in 3 and was 5 feet off the green, 25 feet from the hole. He then proceeds to chip on a perfect alignment to the hole.

…why else would she throw $800.00 worth of champagne away? Oct 2, 2008 10:32 am

Yes, these bottles had been through rough times, varying temps, and varying light exposure and shook up through their travels. This is more then likely destroying or at least diminishing their quality.

This she has no clue of and basically threw them away, in spite, to control and manipulate, to be what, be cruel? Why else would she throw them away? Please someone answer that question…why else would she throw $800.00 worth of champagne away?

I really don’t know how badly they had been destroyed by their travels but I was looking forward to trying them. What really confused me is that Dad was sitting right there during this confrontation with Dorothy. I looked, I turned to him and stared but he didn’t say a word. This she did was very wrong, I couldn’t understand why, and this my Mom?

Never once was I asked to remove them. Oct 2, 2008 9:32 am

I had saved a bottle of Dom Perrigion, and two bottles of Moet White Star, a bottle of Perrier Jouette Fleur and two bottles of Crystal Champagne and they were very important to me. I had saved these bottles for 5 years.

They had traveled across the country with me. I had them in the refrigerator upstairs at my parent’s house. They stayed there for a couple of weeks. Never once was I asked to remove them. I came home one day and they were all gone. Now this is about $800.00 or better worth of champagne. I asked Dorothy what had happened to them.

With no warning, no asking my plans, not asking me to move them, she said straight forward, looking me in the eyes, “I threw them away, and I needed the room.” There was a refrigerator in the basement and this did not dawn on me, I was a bit slow thinking. She could have asked me to transfer them there; rather, she threw them away.

Avoid sarcasm in humor or words...... Oct 2, 2008 9:23 am

…Dorothy was the worst. The very biting, demeaning, degrading remarks were constant. Some of these, well most of these were not major slams but just constant bites that did the damage. She was so snakiest. She would hide these barbs under the disguise of humor.

*The last sentence was written better then a year before I acquired the information on Traumatic Brain Injury. Reading the Report under Phase III, Level VI, it states under the heading Techniques for Dealing with clients in Phase III Condition of Recovery is as follows: The sixth technique states,

Avoid sarcasm in humor or words and do not use double meanings.”

Isn’t that coincidental, that is all I ever got! Only the facts!

These usually hurt the worst because I didn’t know if people were laughing at her or me and my insecurities grew.

As mentioned prior in one chapter of the testimonial, the opening of my mail everyday was unfair. Her excuse being “Oh, I didn’t look to see if it was for me, I just open the mail.” This was nothing more than calling me a fool. I do recall thinking to myself, “she doesn’t really think I’m that dumb”. As Dorothy was screaming at me that she had this right. I looked right at Dad, hoping for some input, Dad never said a thing, which confused me.
