A couple of beautiful days here...I snuggled in the fold of a rock by the sea, facing the sun...It wrapped me in its golden glow and the splash of the waves cradled me...Divine. It doesn't matter that while I'm writing this it's raining again...
Here are two of the pics I took during my today's walk. Enjoy !

Other worlds tapping on my soul with no steer - rainy drops trickling down the window of my fear...
And a yellow leaf stained with the blood of the summer jumped up on the rail of my balcony for a farewell salute...
But hey, not everything in autumn is sad..I'm posting for you a pic of the open fitness ground in the park I mentioned about...Working out with the green around and the glimpse of the sea behind the trees is very refreshing, nothing like the gyms, aha ....
Enjoy your last nice autumn days as much as you can, my friends

As I read on somebody's profile, if there is something I can't live without that's the SUN !!! It's a pity that the guy with that profile didn't have good looks...Do you fancy a realtionship with a man whose looks isn't appealing to you at least a bit? With all my life wisdom gained through years, I'm an old bird you know , I still can't make this sacrifice for the sake of inner beauty ..And I don't believe guys who declare it! ...
But let's go back to this beautiful bright blue-skied day
...Open windows, fresh air, temp above 20*C/70*F, birds and children chirping
LIFE IS GOOOD AGAIN !!!
Happy week/-end, everyone !

Diwali Festival

I got this info and pic on my mail from India today and would like to share them with you. They came just in time to brighten my mood on a grey, cold and wet Saturday of 9*C/50*F. Unbelievable, last weekend people here were on the beach and even in the sea water. Such a shocking drop of temps ...
But obviously I won't stop whining the whole winter, so let's read the pleasant part:
Festival of lights...From Darkness unto Light...!!!! !
Deepawali or Diwali is certainly the biggest and the brightest of all Hindu festivals. It's the festival of lights (deep = light and avali = a row i.e., a row of lights) that's marked by four days of celebration, which literally illumines the country with its brilliance, and dazzles all with its joy. Each of the four days in the festival of Diwali is separated by a different tradition, but what remains true and constant is the celebration of life, its enjoyment and goodness. Historically, the origin of Diwali can be traced back to ancient India, when it was probably an important harvest festival. The illumination of homes with lights and the skies with firecrackers is an expression of obeisance to the heavens for the attainment of health, wealth, knowledge, peace and prosperity. According to one belief, the sound of fire-crackers is an indication of the joy of the people living on earth, making the gods aware of their plentiful state.
DIWALI GREETINGS to all who celebrate this tradition and a Sunday full of light to the rest of us
Love,

Hey, weather men said it's the last warm day today, 22*C/70+F, but during the coming week we will fall to 13*C/50+F, and it will snow in the mountains, ahhh, grr, brrr... However, I and a girlfriend of mine found a cool swimming pool in the city and we swam today although the sea is already cold, yippeee There were people on the beach till late in the afternoon, sunbathing in mid October, great and all the benches in the park were occupied with people no matter the age, no matter the age !!!, under the one warmth of the sunset ...
And now some curious info for you again :
The average dream lasts about 20 minutes
Butterflies taste with their feet.
A cricket's ears are on its front legs
May your dreams are sweet and your days are tasty Have a nice week !

 A sneeze travels 102 miles (165 Km) an hour... Apchi-hju !!! Watch out ! Pig's flu !
Sound travels 4 times faster in water than air... So don't f*rt while swimming...Sharks will quickly track you
5 years of your life are spent eating... If I skip a meal, shall I live longer? ...
It was a lovely Indian summer day today and I picked up some precious warmth under the quiet sun on the beach. The sea was transperant as it rarely is during the hottest days, looking at me with its big cold green eye..It was only 20-22*C and while swimming my skin became stiff and numb like ice crust but I wanted to tell it good-bye and I did, yeah ...
May your weekend be full of sunshine...and don't sneeze at your best friend
Yours,

My Thought for the Weekend

The smart one doesn't need explanations. The stupid one won't understand them. So don't waste yourself...( SL )

Summer here was mercilessly and abruptly driven away with one blow by autumn...Or shall I say with one punch - heavy winds, cold rains and stormy weather. Now we are sealed under the lid of the heavy grey sky and meagre day temps of 22*C...
Of course, I'm unhappy, I desperately miss my swimming...and the sun. Somebody from Australia, Florida or South Africa adopt me for the next nine months?
Picture on post reflects my mood at the moment
Still loving you and wishing you a sunnier weekend than mine,
SL

She is 83 Today

She caused me a lot of stress and health problems after she broke her hip and began developing her horrible dimentia after that, three years and a half ago. But she also taught me to see the beautiful things in life, which keeps me grateful to be alive even in my toughest moments. She began taking me to symphony concerts and opera performances when I was only three and was falling asleep in the chair next to her, lol, thus developing in me love for art, a form of beauty we, humans, create which makes us superior to the other animal species...
And although her existence now is reduced to her basic needs only and her behavior is weird, these are the things I will remember her with when she is gone and I'm happy I'm helping her with some more years of life.
Happy Birthday, MUM ! ...And thank you
Happy Sunday to you, my friends !
On the pic: My mum last summer when my sons helped me take her out for a walk in the park. She is too frail now for such a trip.
