Sheesh, buddies, you're blogging so much, I can't manage to post from running around to comment on your blogs! Kidding NOT!
But I forgot what I was going to tell you because I'm just coming from Tone's birthday blog and am greatly upset by Ric's words that 59 years old are too old to shag and be shagged Hey Ric,if you think there is much difference between 55 and 59, you're greatly mistaken!
Like a good vintage wine I get better with age...Aha! ( I got this from a dating site ...)
Astronomic spring was officially announced some days ago and we had summer's saving daytime clock change today but not real warm weather yet ..And how is it possible to lie to us that it is still daylight at 7 pm when in fact it is 6 pm, huh..It is proved that these clock changes twice a year are harmful to human's organism but who listens ..By the way, I read that this year Asia is not changing clocks forward and backwards..Is it so, my Asian friends?
Anyway, there was some windy sun yesterday and I made these two shots for you in the sea park...
So happy Astronomic Spring, my friends !

The Finalists for the N7W of the World: the Kremlin and Red Square

 Hello my friends,
Recently my mum's condition worsened - her legs refused to hold her and my task to tend to her became harder and even more weary...But it's high time I wrote a post and let's learn something. So here we go...
The Kremlin and Red Square
Kremlin, the heart of Moscow, is a fortressed complex of 68 acres covered by a wall 2235 meters long and a height of 5 to 19 metres with most beautiful cathedrals, palaces and armories. Built as a residence for Ivan I, the Kremlin was the official residence of the Czars until the 1917 Russian Revolution. Today, it still houses the President’s office. In front of the Kremlin is Red Square – an impressive and exuberant plaza
From the beginning of the 12th century Kremlin has been the nerve center of Russia, with a brief spell when Peter the Great shifted his capital to Peter’s burg alone Kremlin was deprived of that status. When Russia emerged as the capital of world’s communism, Kremlin had the role of managing that ideology world wide! In its centuries old history it has witnessed numerous often horrific dramas in the corridors of power; either religious or political.
It is a fact that most of the remarkable constructions in the world are either of the kings (palaces, armory or forts) or of the gods (temples, church or mosques). The specialty with Kremlin is that it is a fort, a group of palaces as well as a group of cathedrals, or in other words a full-fledged city within a city. The onion-shaped spires of Kremlin stands as a wonderful spectacle even among a million structures easily identifiable for its colorful domes and looks rather crowded from a distance as if flower-buds placed in a pot and gives the an unworldly feeling to the spectators.
This is one of the most beautiful buildings I've seen in my life so I'll show you more pictures of it.
Love,

I like the first week of March...March 1 - we celebrate Grandma March; March 3 is an anniversary of Bulgaria's Liberation from Otoman Yoke; March 6 - an anniversary of the school where I've taught for 29 years and where I got retired. Going to a restaurant tonight and to a theatre day performance on the occasion ...And I found carers to tend to my mum while I'm absent. So I'm going, weee ...Then March 8 on Sunday, International Woman's Day, yippeee!!!
If only the weather was not that sullen...With the grey fog all over, it's dusk from morning till night. But it's holidays, anyway - university students come back home, and call you to hug you and give you a martenitsa and a flower, and you meet your colleagues to have fun with, lovely...
May you feel each day of the week as a holiday
I posted a pic I took yesterday in the street with more martenitsi for you

Hello Grandma March !

Happy First of March everybody ! Happy Martisor, Kati !
Well, it's about 10 degrees lower today than last year but February is gone, huh, and I hope with it the cold... March or Grandma Marta, as we call it, is the only woman's month in Bulgarian culture, hence it marks the beginning of nature's revival
I'm reminding my old friends and presenting to my new ones what March 1 means to us :
On the first day of March, Bulgarians present to relatives and friends martenitsa - a double red and white twisted thread - to bring them health and happiness, and congratulate each other with "Happy Grandma Marta"(Marta comes from the word for March (Mart) in Bulgarian. This ancient/pagan Bulgarian tradition symbolizes the end of the winter and expresses anticipation of warmer weather, fertility and well-being. The red and white colour symbolize the blood and the snow, the health and the happiness. In the traditional martenitsa, women might entwine coins for well-being, ears of wheat for fertility,a four-leaved clover for happiness, beads and hairs of horsetail against evil forces. Children wear martenitsas on the right wrist, around the neck or on the breast, women wear it around the neck or woven into their hair. Men tie the martenitsa round their left wrist. Domestic animals, even the handles of the doors and vines are decorated with this token of health and fertility. People wear martenitsa until they see the first stork, crane or swallow returning from the South, which means that spring has really come. Then they tie it on a blossoming fruit tree, make a wish and hope that it will come true.
This year March 1 coincides with another holiday of ours - Forgiveness Day - the young ask forgiveness from their elder relatives for whatever worries they have caused them or if they have hurt them in a way. So I'm expecting my sons to call me tomorrow, ha-ha...
So you may pick up a martenitsa from the hand of that girl on the pic and grace yourself with it for health and luck !
Update : I have replaced the original pic with the present one where there are more martenitsi so that Beta's hubby can have one, too ...Help yourself, my friends !
Have a nice week ahead!
Love,

One Fine Day....

You know I'm looking after my sick mum...so I can't go out in the evening. I miss so much going to symphony concerts and the opera...There are some good performances on the city stage at the moment but they are all in the evening...sigh. I listen to music on youtube but I don't know how to download opera on my puter...So in the evening, after I've put my mum to bed, I sometimes download films and watch them till early in the morning.
I can hint you some film titles - 'Australia', 'Lake House', 'Seven Pounds', 'Winter Deep'...Last night it was 'One Fine Day' - a bit old, from 1996 but nice - comedy/romance, well, I liked it...
So here are the lyrics to the soundtrack of the film :
One fine day You'll look at me And you will know our love was Meant to be One fine day You're gonna want me for your girl The arms I long for Will open wide And you'll be proud to have me By your side One fine day You're gonna want me for your girl Though I know you're the Kind of boy Who only wants to run around I'll keep waiting and Someday darling You'll come to me when you want to settle down oh One fine day We'll meet once more And then you'll want the love you Threw away before One fine day You're gonna want me for your girl One fine day We'll meet once more And then you'll want the love you Threw away before One fine day You're gonna want me for your girl
As Rach says 'Never Give Up Hope...Your Dreams Are Out There...' Where?...Over the rainbow, he-he...Good signature, Rach
Wish you all a fine day !
Posting a pic of a Bulgarian mountain for you for a change - Rila mountain, one of our most beautiful
