| I Feel Like An Ugly Frog |
Apr 23, 2008 10:48 pm 1038 Views |
Two days ago, i got this strange itch down my throat. And i was, like, Uh-oh! not again! I can feel it coming. That's always been my symptom of an upcoming colds and cough. I immediately pop my multivitamin plus the "C". I thought, it may help to strengthen my immune system. I always hated the idea of roaring like a mad dog or wheezing like crazy.
I didn't forget to take fluids. They say it would clear mucus away. I had to suffer the frequent trips to the bathroom, though. All these, for trying to stop the feckin' colds from clinging to my reluctant system.
Then, as fate would have it, i woke up at 3 am today because i couldn't breathe. My nose got clogged up and i had to sit down to clear my air passage. I felt better with my head propped up over many layers of pillows but i wasn't able to get back to sleep. My nose dripped (eeeew, gross!) and i wheezed like mad. I was so fecked up! Before i knew it, the first sunshine has entered the splits in my windows and early birds were chirping around to gather food to feed their youngs... and i was still on my [death]bed wheezing like a madman. First, a mad dog and now a mad man. Tsk!
any enemas for my poor soul? My voice sounds funny. I feel uglier than a frog a thousand folds.

| Just a blah! |
Apr 23, 2008 1:03 am 1083 Views | | Good girls get peace and quiet, bad girls get what they want. Good girls get their just deserts, bad girls hit the jackpot.Good girls fly low under the radar, bad girls steal the spotlight. Good girls have the last laugh, bad girls laugh the hardest. Good girls go to heaven, bad girls have been to hell and back. Good girls get mad, bad girls get even. Nothing bad about being good, but sometimes bad girls have it better.

| Let's Do The Palindrome |
Apr 20, 2008 11:44 pm 1199 Views | Have you encounter a word or phrase, verse or sentence that reads the same backward or forward? That is called a palindrome. I first came accross with these unusual words in a text message sent by a friend and i so loved its peculiarity that i saved it. Here are the examples:
Damn! I, Agassi, miss again! Mad. Swap for a pair of paws? Laptops spot pal. Live not on evil. Mac spots tip at a pit-stop scam mad adam. My gym taxes sex at my gym. Ah, Satan sees Natasha. Ana, nab a banana. A nut for a jar of tuna.
Let's see if you can make your own palindrome

| Don't Leave Me, Beloved |
Apr 18, 2008 1:32 am 1056 Views | Don't leave me, beloved, on this plane Without your hand to grasp in the night And your voice to wake me from sleep And your love to wrap my day in kindness, Fold on fold, And tell me that I'm young, And that age Could never make me old.
Catherine Cookson, from "Let Me Make Myself Plain."

| Another Embeadery Done |
Apr 17, 2008 7:15 pm 1080 Views | I am certainly proud of my progress. This frame thang is a blog signatures of Ms.Alchemy2 and Jiffyblue, and we know it, but they taught me how to pull this up. I may post like this once in a while.
So anyway, this post is about my recently finished embeadery as shown above. I have been blessed with friends (both real life and virtual friends) who send me loots and everything from anywhere in the world. And i was always stuck with the thought of what to give them. It's not as if they wanted something in return but i really feel good when i would rather be the one on the giving-end than a mere receiver.
Last year, Allyssa who is my textmate and whom i have never met in person sent me many things, from chocolates, to clothes and skincare. Imagine my surprise at receiving all these things from someone i didn't even have the chance of meeting. The girl (a mestiza) being the only child of a well-off family craved for a sister and i like to think she found that in me. I was at a loss. Many times, i was prompted to send back the things she have given me, but that would be a blatant insult to her generosity. I never once asked her for those things. I really wanted to give her something she din't have and something i worked hard for her to value. And then i thought of my embeadery. I have a yellow scarf (which can pass as a shawl, and yellow was her favorite color!) from India and i worked my way into the design. In one week, i have worked day and night sewing the glass beads on. She would be leaving the Philippines in two weeks time and i needed to finish my gift. After a week of blurry visions and backaches (it was a rather rushed work for i normally finish one project at least 3 weeks during my idle time), i sent her my beaded scarf. She brought it with her to Seattle, and boy! Did my creation create a noise in there! She was wearing the thing as a shawl over her little black dress when friends noticed it. Her granny even borrowed it for a week
Early this year, I sent a beaded scarf to my bestfriend IVY who now lives with her husband Jeff and two kids in Berkeley. It was my birthday gift for her and she uses it as hijab.
And now this... Well, this one's for me. I made it for myself. LOL |

Thank you, Ms.Alchemy2! |

| Of Apple and Coffee |
Apr 16, 2008 1:20 am 1023 Views | | I only need 3 things to get me going (i'm talking in the present tense. My priorities are subject to change without prior notice)
One is, Coffee > What's a day without one? Oooops, it's not shown in the picture.
Two is, an apple > I trust my doctor. He says, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
and Three, Internet Connection > Or else, you would miss me too much.
LOL! |

| Who Says Chickens Aren't Real? |
Apr 15, 2008 11:39 pm 677 Views | | <<<Presenting to you two of our chicken in the barnyard. lol
A Broiler (the white one, i know he appears smaller in the picture but he really is huge) who weighed around three kilograms and a Bantam rooster. Last month, we killed (eeekkk, how can i say the word gently?) six broiler chicken because it was my sister's graduation and the family decided to have a chicken feast. And like i told you, it weighed roughly 3 kilos each minus the feet and feathers. I especially had a wonderful time with the drumsticks fried in butter. They're fleshy, ya know
As for the Bantam, well, get your hands off it. Or you'll turn my 2-year old baby brother into a shrieking monster. It's his pet! |
