Plica and cartilage
Twas a difficult day
Hats off to the NHS
Nurses so brill
Surgeon and anaesthetist
They gave me a thrill
Only joking
But total respect
For the job they do
I didn't expect
Caring and kindness
Thoroughness as well
Couldn't have wished for more
My day was not hell
Sitting here now
Exercises i must do
Now that is so hard
But i really have to
Bruce at my friends
I can't walk him for days
Miss him so much
In so many ways
I want to thank you all
For your kindness and wishes
Now i must finish
And wash up my dishes
Must recover soon
Have flight in a few weeks
Hopefully to find
The pleasure i seek
