my favorite colors and probably more babbling, lol

when i woke up this morning, i felt the need to talk about colors on my blog today. but i was time ladened and instead of coming to my blog, i answered another. certainly not enough time in a morning when you have to leave for work by 6 am and you got up at 5:30! whatever would a person do without a snooze alarm?
i am a nurse in a hospital, and i was choosing my scrub shirt to wear, and i thought about my favorite color, and clashing colors. i chose a blue print scrub shirt, but the lab coat i was wearing is multicolored, sort of patchwork. i probably was a sight, but i think i am getting to the age where i might even wear those old pink polyester pants too!!( ugh, i think not!) and i only wear the lab coat in, like a jacket, so the clashing only lasted to and from work,lol.
so i was thinking of telling you of my favorite colors when i was dressing. when i was growing up, i used to really think that magenta was my favorite color, but i figured out later i chose that color because at the time, no one else liked it, and it was different. my sisters always tell me i am the different one, lol. i liked it too because it was an odd word. born in "56, magenta was not a common word at that time of life, and really not now. i think they call it chartruese (sp) now. i finally figured out it was not my favorite color when my oldest daughter was about 15 or 16. (she is 31 now, so you have an idea of the year that was). she bought her own clothes, so i didn't have much say in what she bought. the color chartruese was big at that time, and about every other article of clothing she bought was bright pink, chartruese or magenta!! you pick your name for it. after a school year of this, i found out it definitely was not my favorite color! i had to threaten her with death if she ever bought even a pencil in that color! my excuse was it burned my eyes it was so bright. lol.
it helped me to discover my favorite color is blue. i think i was in denial of this, because my sister who is a year younger than me, shared my clothes. when mom bought us clothes, i always got the pink, and she got the blue, or even if mom bought me something blue, sister took it. so, i made myself believe i didn't like blue, so it didn't bother me so much. but here i am now about 35 years of age, going through second divorce, bought a house of my own, and buying everything blue!! nooooooo, i didn't buy so much that i got sick of it, i just realized what i was doing and slowed down. added other colors into my life. i like shades of purple, but not too much at one time. greens are nice too. and the faded looking pinks. like rose. most people would call them down to earth colors. i reckon cause i am down to earth. i am open and honest as i can possibly be. my youngest daughter will not ask my opinion if she does not want to hear the truth! lol i hold nothing back when i am asked my opinion. before i give it sometimes though, i will ask "are you sure you want to hear it?" she is living in somewhat of a fantasy world, and does not want to come back to reality most times. another story for another time.
but back to blue. the cars i have purchased for myself in this life have all been blue, except for this very last one. my insurance agent told me i could not get a blue one because i am blued out!! i had 4 blue cars. let me see if this old brain can remember them. hmmmm, some little car. a plymoth or something like that. straight stick. then a blue grand am, 1990. 7000 miles, i never had a car with that little amount of mileage on it!! i loved that car. my youngest daughter tore the hell out of it. then a chevy cavalier to replace my grand am. i didn't really hate that, but i missed my grand am terribly. i got a new job and raise, consolidated my bills, so i was able to afford my very first NEW car. not used, not driven by another sole. i got a beautiful 2003 buick century. bench seat in the front, but it split so i could scoot it up for short me. i had it for three months. driving to work, i blacked out and plowed it into the back end of a truck. i killed my new baby!! i was ok until they told me it was non-repairable, then i bawled my eyes out.
i am not a red color person. red itself i actually hate. i can tolerate some shade, and i do have a red shirt or two, but rarely wear them. but there are several things i hate doing in life. trying on shoes, going to the eye doctor for new eyeglasses, (can you see this, hows this? how bout this??????) and searching for another car. i had to go back to used, because insurance paid for my dead car, but nothing for down payment. i did not want a grand prix, monte carlo or red car. dealers kept trying to pawn monte carlos off on me, and my insurance agent told me to get a grand prix (she was only trying to help). it was probably three weeks, because i had to wait for them to actually total the car out. i was sooooooooooooooo tired of looking at cars, especially since three months earlier i had just completed that task. i was driving to work ( i do that often, it is about an hour drive) and i prayed to God, "PLEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASSSE LORD!!! i am soooooooooooooooo tired of this. please help me find a car. i will take a cranberry grand prix if i have to". after this, i called the car dealer to see if he had anything different in that day. do i have to tell you what he said??????????? i could have died!!
"we just got a cranberry grand prix in this morning with 14,000 miles on it, i think you will love it!" just a warning folks, be sure you really want what you ask God for. i have been driving this 2002 cranberry grand prix for 2 and a half years now! i still miss my grand am.

ok, i will try not to bore you to death with this new blog of mine. i have never done this sort of thing, but i do visit some groups of military moms, so i do know how to post and such. they think i am capable of writing. boy do i have the wool pulled over their eyes! haha.
maybe i should tell you a little bit about myself. you can see i am a 49yof. it says so there. i have no photos to use, because i am the camera carrier/photo taker of the family, and the photos that my 4 year old grandson took of me recently really do not suffice. i will make an attempt to get one that is presentable, but if you want, i could post the one he took of me wearing his sunglasses! lol, jk. i am recently out of a long term relationship. he says he got tired of a onesided relationship. i almost fell over when he said that. i think he must have been listening to my conversations. i think many of us here know and understand that one sided relationship thing. i will try not to bore anyone here with the facts of the past, as i am told i don't have a good memory, so i must make up things. lets get of my relationship thing.
i have growed up children, and three little grandchildren. silly me, i have been dog free for the past year, and what do i do?? i bought one dog, 12 weeks old, and attained another puppy a week later-5 weeks old. (grandchildren missed having dogs, but i think i took it to an extreme here!! lol) i work full time, and come home and work too! dog tired anymore, but i feel much better about things. i found there is more to life than computers. no, i am not an expert, but i can get around on it.
alright, now that you are totally bored, i will let you be for a bit. i have a tendency to babble on,sometimes about nothing, so join me again, and you can keep up on my babbling.
