It's the last day of school !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This last couple of weeks there have been finals and dissecting (we did worms and owl pellets!! hehehe).

Even with all the stress of being a middle school teacher, it is kind of sad saying good bye for the summer.

for everyone!!

For the past 20 + years, people in my life were the ones that focused on the bad. They would always find something wrong with everything. And talked like THEY could/would do/be better.

Anyway, I am done with that!!! That is one of the reasons I am here in Blogville. There are so many here who make my day better. I am in LOVE with the laughter, friendship, and possitive/uplifting remarks here on the blogs.

for everyone!!

And THANKS again for brighten up my days!!

Do you hear the Music?? Apr 28, 2008 5:24 am

Do you hear the Music?

Music-----the universal language.
Music is dynamic. Composers such as Mozart and Beethoven captured emotions in the ups and downs of life.

Joy
Loneliness
Fulfillment
Cynical
Content
Critical
Amazement
Tension

What music is playing in your soul?? Is the music you play on the outside the same as what is playing on the inside???

Putting just the right amount of gin in your goldfish bowl makes the fishes' eyes bulge and causes them to swim in an amusing manner.

A Beautiful Lady

At 9:30 this morning, I arrived for a visit with a beautiful lady. After hellos and hugs from her son and his wife, I went to her bed side. I looked upon the most beautiful person I have ever known. Her eyes were close and she was resting in peace having passed from this world just shortly before I arrived.

I know I have been blessed having known her. She was my grandfather’s aunt and just lived a few houses from me when I was growing up. We could see her house from our window. She always welcomed my sisters and me with a warm smile and baked goods.

She lived a simple life having few of the toys other people seem to need. Not that she was unable but that she understood things would not bring happiness. She was a true example of how to live, ninety-three years worth of life.

After saying goodbye, I visited with another beautiful lady. My grandmother, also 93 years old, sat before me unknowingly sharing her wisdom. I watched her as we talk. She is still able to live in her own house doing the cooking and cleaning, climbing stairs to do laundry.

After hugging grandma and promising to return soon, I pondered wondering if I have really learned the lesson gave by these great people. There are others that have gone from my life all of whom have shared their wisdom. It has been a privilege to have had each one touch my life.
