"Ello monsieur, ahhh am looking for an artist.Ahhh met her here a day or so ago but ahh 'ave forgotten which 'ouse she leeve een.Is she 'ere?"
I had to rewind this paragraph in my head because the French accent was so heavy.
I must have looked a little dumbfounded (Well it was like having a time-lag conversation, by the time i'd deciphered what he said, he was moving on."She 'ave two cheeldren and she ees new to the area".
He meant my next door neighbour and i eventually caught up enough to tell him so but i loved his accent and he seemed a real friendly feller so i asked him where he was from and what brought him to this spot on earth.Anyhoo an hour later and two cups o coffee which he beautifully described as répulsif lol (I drink de-caff instant- not the kinda stuff you should offer a Frenchman lol)
Anyhoo i made a new friend today.

Got the first of a dozen or so hats i've been buying on eeeebay. One is a cricket hat (canvas and floppy) which is too small , so Josephine has a new hat coming her way lol and the other is a wooly skull cap that makes me look like i'm wearing a tea-cosy so her maw is getting a new hat too.
I am a complete hatophile. It used to be waistcoats when i was younger but now my signature look is a bonnet of some kind.Though now i think on it i may go looky on eeeebay fer waistcoats too.
I'm just rambling now ain't i?

1891 Views | A little while ago the BBC did a large poll to find who we Brits regard as the greatest ever Briton. The result if i remember correctly, was Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
The USA followed suit and did a poll to see who Americans regarded as the greatest ever Yankee.
Guess who topped the poll?
I still chuckle about it every now and then in my quiet moments.lol

1860 Views |  | The boots i'm wearing today have deep treads that collect the snow as i walk, so this morning on me constitutional wander, every 10 paces or so i'd get a few inches taller, then i'd click my heels ("there's no place like home, there's no place like home") and i'd become the 5:10 dwarf i am again.
Interesting huh?lol

2006 Views |  | Okay so the little fat fecker has taken to shouting at me till i wake up.
This morning at 6 o clock he woke me cos he wanted oot. Okay i guess if you gotta go you gotta go.
So i let him oot, braving the freezing cold kitchen in my naked form, then back to bed to catch up on me zeds. 6.30 am i get re-awoken by moany face shouting at me again, wanting me to get up and feed him. Little cheeky fecker. So i picked him up and hoiked him oot the kitchen door and closed it behind him. Maybe a few hours sitting in the snow will teach him to let dad sleep. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Don't be making excuses fer the little fecker peeps, he may just be a stoopid cat but he knows when his meals are served and it ain't 6.30 in the morning. |

2367 Views |  | So i notice i hardly get any guys of the male gender on me blog and i'm wondering, why do you suppose that is?(You just know i have a theory don'tcha? lol But i'll wait to hear what you guys say before i starts pontificating lol) Other than the obvious fact that there are way more feminine type bloggers in the first place.
I woke up to a white world this morning. Tried to go fer me usual ride but trying to cycle through 17 inches (Yeah i am anally retentive enough to have gawn oot and measured how deep it is lol)is way too much like hard work. So i went and surreptitiously lobbed a few snowballs at the local squids and now i'm sitting with the heater pointed up me hooter and havering over wether to go wallow in t' bath fer an hour or go make some marvelous Winter-warming concoction in me kitchen.
I am a superb cook laydees (And gents, if there are any around,lol)I'm renowned fer making the best soup in the east o Scotland. Yesterday i made a bacon joint smothered in garlic and mushroom, cream sauce and baked potatoes with a medley (ooo get her) of vegetables. It was yum yum yummity.I can even bake cakes and make jam and all sorts o interesting stuff. Me cheesy potatoes are Heavenly lol
Mmmmmmmm Hungry!!!
