Ah Sunday, a Relaxing Day. :) Oct 23, 2005 10:28 am

Hmmmm, got to sleep late today (9:00 AM), then got up and just relaxed and went online. Busy sports weekend as the World Series began yesterday and college football is in full swing.

The White Sox baby in 5. LOL! They already won Game one 5-3. Woohoo!!!! I have always been an American League fan. Whoever the team is I always root for the American League unless it's the Braves. But usually the Braves don't make it to the World Series so it's not something I have to really worry about it.

It's cool, cloudy and crisp today here in the big O. Great weather. You can wear a jacket and a long sleeved sweater and still feel comfortable. Right now I've got on my cream colored fleece that I got for Christmas last year. It is soft and comfortable. Would you like to feel it? LMAO!! Well come on over then.

Well I got my hair cut this morning, did a little shopping, then hurried home to watch Nebraska play Missouri. It was a pretty good game for the first half as Missouri was ahead by 14, but Nebraska roared back to tie the score at halftime, but in the 2nd half, Missouri pulled away to win.

Then I went into work for about 3.4 hours before returning home to relax a bit before entertaining some company for the rest of the evening.

I have to work about 4.6 hours tomorrow to get in the extra five that are required of me this week. Then on Monday it's back to school.

This coming week is the final week of the first quarter. I can't believe how fast it's gone. I love the weekends as it's a chance to sleep late and relax.

Today is my daughter's birthday. She lives in St. Louis. I am going to go see her on Thanksgiving.

Wow I just got home a little bit ago after a long day. First I had my regular work day, then after school I had a meeting with a parent. Following that I went to a local hangout with a few colleagues and then to my other job for four hours. Then a colleague from my other job and I went out to a bar and played darts. Then I went to my other bar and saw my other friend and had a beer there.

Then I stopped at Taco Bell and got some food. Then I went home and ate it. I also had both a piece of cheesecake and a piece of pumpkin pie. I'm actually pretty tired but feeling pretty good.

Wow it's almost another weekend already. This year just seems to be racing past. It's been kind of a busy week so far, but not anything really bad to complain about this week.

This weekend Nebraska takes on the tough Missouri Tigers in Columbia and that should be a pivotal game. If they win they'll continue to be in the running to win the north division of the Big 12. If they lose it will definitely be a setback.

This has been kind of a hectic week, because my other job requires me to work an additional five hours beyond my normal hours. I used to work 25 hours every week but I normally only work 20 there so bumping up to 25 is a real hassle and disruptive to my routine and to my free time.

Things on the home front are stable right now. That's all I'm going to say right now.

Well it's just past 11:00 PM here and I'm ready to head for bed. It's already midweek. This is an extra five hour workweek at my other job so that is kind of annoying too, but tonight I got home at about 7:30 and spent most of the night relaxing.

Watched some of the Astros clinching a berth in the World Series by beating the Cardinals. Kind of strange in that it's a Chicago White Sox-Houston Astro's World Series. I know THAT'S a first.

I would have come here sooner but my internet crashed so I decided to give it a rest.

Hmmmm, the last few days have been kind of hectic at work because our department has had tons of people absent. On Friday, nearly half of our department was gone for one reason or another. Then on Monday 5 people were gone. This morning one colleague had to go due to an emergency illness and I ended up taking a first hour class to cover for her instead of getting my planning period.

Hopefully tomorrow we'll be back to semi-normal and not short 4-5 teachers.

Well it's Monday, so it was back to work I went this morning. I was a little tired but that's probably because I stayed up until almost midnight last night.

After work I went to work LOL! At my other job that is. I worked three hours there before coming home, grabbing something to eat and taking a shower and relaxing.

Can't believe we're over half way through October already. Where is time going?

Don't you think it's kind of cool when you look and see that your picture is up there on the "most watched blogs" thingie on the friend network page?

It is really kind of flattering to me to see that over 100 or 200 or 300 people have taken the time to read what I've written on these things.

Of course it also makes you cognizant of what you say. When personal things are happening in your life it's not exactly desirable for you to think that dozens of people you don't know are reading all about it here.

I always wonder why people come here and read what I write? Do they just like to read everyone's blogs? Do they like my writing style? Are they interested in getting to know me? Are they just passing through and click cause the topic sounds interesting?

I wish sometimes people could click on a little thing about the reason they came and read your blog?

Hmmmm, well not REALLY, but it sounded good. I got up at 10:00 AM this morning. Went online for a bit (I'm still online obviously. My mother is coming up from Lincoln today to see her cousin, who is in the hospital.

My mom's first cousin is exactly the same age but is in a lot worse health and probably isn't going to live that much longer. I used to call her, "aunt Shirley", even though she's technically my second cousin and not my aunt.

Later on today, I have to work and then tomorrow it's once again back to school. It just seems to me sometimes that the days and weeks of my life are flying by so rapidly.

Things have calmed down a lot since two weeks ago when it seemed my life was kind of coming apart at the seams. Thank goodness the one person that I hurt the most still cares enough that she wants to talk to me and still wants to be my closest friend.

Let's see I got in 3.6 hours of work, slept late this morning, watched the end of the movie A Knight's Tale, bought a microwave for work, and then went to a bar and watched Nebraska defeat Baylor 23-14.

Now I'm just kicking back, relaxing and talking to my friends online. I can't wait for another day off. I love sleeping late.
