| Brucey's New Thanksgiving Toy. :)) |
Nov 24, 2005 6:50 pm Mood: bouncy, 859 Views | | NO!!! It's not a woman, you pervies. LOL! It's a new hard drive for my computer. It is a lot faster and better than what I've been using and now my webcam even works.
I took several new pictures with it and have started my first ever album here on FF. I have even put one of my new piccies up here for this thread.
Today was a really nice and relaxing day. I got up around 10:00AM, dinked around on the computer for awhile then went and watch the pathetic Detroit Lions get creamed on national televsion.
About the 3rd quarter dinner was ready and I had turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, olives, dinner rolls and pecan pie for desert. I also had a glass of Chardonnay with dinner.
Everything looked and smelled great. I dozed off from the triptethane in the turkey about 4:00 PM, and then this evening I had my new computer hard drive installed. Woohoo!!!!
We played a game called Scattegories which is kind of fun because there were a bunch of people over here. I won of course, because I am the best (and the most modest of course) LOL! |

| Woohoo, finally here. :) |
Nov 23, 2005 10:13 pm Mood: excited, 875 Views | | Well officially it's early Thanksgiving morning here in Omaha, but on FF it's still not midnight yet so this counts as a Wednesday late night blog instead of a Thursday early morning blog.
Hmmmmm, I love Thanksgiving. Relaxing, sleeping in, watching the Lions lose, the smells the great food. The start of the Christmas holiday season. More importantly 4 full days off from school.
We are having turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, olives, dinner rolls, and two or three types of pie, including cherry, pumpkin and pecan. |

| Okay, I think I can hang on for one more day. :) |
Nov 22, 2005 8:08 pm Mood: excited, 930 Views | | Okay, tomorrow is Thanksgiving Eve. Unfortunately I don't have the day off which would be nice, but it is a non-student work day which should be fairly easy with a long lunch break and the chance to dress casually. Then tomorrow night it's like a Friday cause I don't have to get up early the next day. Only trouble is I have to go get a turkey and some stuff before Thursday.
My son is in town now until Sunday. Tonight a group of us played Scrabble, believe it or not.
Well off to all of the highly important things I have to do, like........ well off to do other things. LOL! |

| Woohoo Tomorrow is Tuesday. :) |
Nov 21, 2005 9:33 pm Mood: adventurous, 852 Views | | That means that Thanksgiving is coming soon. I love Thanksgiving. I have to go buy a turkey though because I don't have one yet. I just love the smell in the household and the family feeling and also all of the good food.
Of course I love pecan pie and I NEVER get enough of that. LOL! |

| Alright Who Keeps Reading These Things? :) |
Nov 20, 2005 8:22 pm Mood: silly, 866 Views | | I have to laugh because I always marvel at the fact that 100-400 people read what I write on these blogs. Yet I only get one or maybe two comments.
Okay, so fess up. Who keeps reading me? What do you want? Money? My body? LMAO!!! Well nevermind, it's kind of flattering really. I think these things are kind of addictive to tell you the truth.
Hmmmm, this coming week should be fairly easy as the kids are only in session two days and then we have Wednesday as a work day where we have to be there but the kids are not.
Then it's a nice 4 day weekend. I love Thanksgiving. Of course I probably will gain about 5 lbs but I still love Thanksgiving |

| A Lazy, Rainy Day. :) |
Nov 19, 2005 9:31 pm Mood: lazy, 806 Views | | Hmmmm today was a lazy day. I slept until 11:30 this morning, which is really late for me. Then I went downtown for a bit, checked in at a chess tournament and went to the art museum before going into work until 6:00 PM.
Then I came home and dinked around online for awhile before going down and watching the 1st half of the USC-Fresno State game.
Now it's already 11:35 PM and I'm thinking, where did today go?
Well at least I'm getting close to being back to normal and my cold seems to be receding. I'm sucking on a Cold-Ease lozenge which has zinc in it and is supposed to help fight colds.
I wish I could report on all the exciting stuff I did today but there's no football game this weekend for Nebraska and I didn't go karaoking this weekend to rest up my voice. As reported last night, I did go see the latest Harry Potter movie. |

| Goblet of Fire |
Nov 18, 2005 11:09 pm Mood: relaxed, 936 Views | Since I couldn't go to the bar tonight due to nearly losing my voice this past week I decided instead to go to the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie. It was a pretty packed house but I got a ticket for a 9:45 PM show. It got out at 12:23 AM.
My opinion of the movie was that it was the best of the 4 so far although I enjoyed the last one as well. It had great special effects, an interesting story and of course as always keeps one guessing if they haven't read the books which I haven't.
In my opinion each of the films has gotten better and better and I really didn't care for the first one at all but enjoyed this one a lot.
Just a word to the wise, this is NOT a film for children. There are lots of things in this movie that I would not recommend for a child that is not at least about 5th grade or higher. | |

| Hmmmm urge to feel better and have fun, rising. :) |
Nov 17, 2005 7:01 pm Mood: adventurous, 901 Views | | Well after two days of having a poopy cold that was in my sinuses and throat, today I finally felt decent enough to head back to work. Things went okay and I didn't stress out my voice. I still am holding off at my other job because it is more stressful on my voice.
However tonight, I went into my other job because they had their Thanksgiving pot luck tonight and boy did I pig out. I had turkey, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake among other things.
Hmmmm, I'm probably not going to be able to karaoke tomorrow night which is kind of a drag but my voice is too weak and I don't want to irritate it by breathing smoke all night in the bar.
Anyway I'm pretty sure I'll make it through tomorrow and then the following week there are only two days with the kids and then we head into Thanksgiving.
I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't go back into my throat. |

| Time and Colds Wait for No One. |
Nov 16, 2005 7:40 pm Mood: cold, 884 Views | | Well I've really had this cold since last Thursday, and I've now missed three days of work at one job and two days at another job.
I think I'm going to try and go back tomorrow but I still don't feel back to normal. Mainly I don't want to lose my voice and by staying out the past two to three days I think I may have escaped that fate. |

| Grrrrrrr at colds. |
Nov 15, 2005 8:17 pm Mood: annoyed, 905 Views | | You know I'd almost rather have the flu than have colds. It seems like EVERY year I get this and come close to losing my voice. I took today off so I wouldn't lose it and I'm also taking tomorrow off. The thing that is annoying is that after it leaves my throat it becomes a cough and that then lingers for a month before finally going away.
Still, with any luck I won't get the flu because I got this instead. |
