Throwing Out Lots of Positive Energy :) Feb 27, 2006 7:15 pm
Mood: devious, 1167 Views
Okay I just did this on another site and it is such an awesome feeling to feel the positive energy build from saying so many nice things about so many nice people that I have come to know and love in various ways.

I'm going to wish as many happy wishes as I can to as many of my friends that I can think of. If you want to just read your own then that's fine and if you want to read everyone's then that's fine too. Please don't be offended if I don't say something to you. In fact for a kiss or a piece of cheesecake and a shout I'll add your name. LOL!

Moony-A lovely, wonderful, beautiful woman who I WANT to get into my friend network. Your blogs are such an inspiration don't even THINK about stopping them. Hey, can I get a copy of that Wedding of the Moon Goddess? hehehehe I SWEAR it's for the local library's archives. LOL!

Eliana-Sweet, lovely, tall, beautiful. You are the greatest honey and I'm so glad I know you.

Emma-I'm almost at a loss for words to tell you how much you have meant and will always mean to me. I am soooo happy for the way that you are getting your move arranged.

Cindela-I'm so proud of you for getting a house of your own. You are the greatest.

Ari-I don't quite know how to put into words just what a pleasure it's been to make your acquaintance and how much fun it's been laughing and trading jokes and kidding around with you.

Rojeli-I feel that I've gotten to know you a lot better since I started blogging more. You seem like a sweet and wonderful person.

Lynney-You're like my best friend and are as big a smarta** as me, hard as THAT is to believe.

Carole-Wow I've barely known you a week and you are already one of my gang. What a riot too.

Debbie-So glad that we've gotten to be friends. You are a sweetie and I WANT that cheesecake you've been eating baby

Love2LoveU-I don't know you that well yet but I do think you are a lovely, caring and open person who seems to be quite in love with someone right now. Did like the belly dancing thread hehehehe

WildKitty-What a sweet and charming young woman. Hmmmmmmm, sorta liked that Jeannie in a bottle blog the other day, almost as much as Love2LoveU's belly dancing thread.

Philantrop-Jeannie baby if you don't put up another blog pretty soon hon, I'm going to write one for you myself. LOL!

Now remember if I didn't get you on here that's Kisses or Cheesecake and a SHOUT !!
Especially the KISSES and the CHEESECAKE

Burying Negativity. Feb 27, 2006 4:38 am
Mood: calm, 1200 Views
Okay posting something negative rarely has any positive effect so I'm burying something that upset me last night and I'm just going to move on.

I just want to say that people should KNOW that I care about them. They shouldn't begin to question that I do because of something said in jest.

Going to have a long day of work today and don't need to sit around worrying that someone thinks I'm mad at them because I'm not. Just disappointed a little that apparently feelings can turn on a dime.

This person is special to me and I can't believe she doesn't know it because I've told her. Still, I'm not committed to anyone so if things aren't quite right it's better to know now than find out later on.

Suppose you could? Would you? Feb 26, 2006 10:52 am

In the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, a man and a woman have had a relationship that has gone bad so the woman undergoes a procedure to have all memories of the relationship erased from her mind.

This of course greatly upsets the man so he decides to do the same but midway through changes his mind because he can't bear the thought of not remembering the love they had.

Which brings me to the point of this blog. If you've ever loved someone and then had to break up then what would you do if this procedure really existed? Would you WANT to erase all traces and memories of this person from your mind or would you simply find that a horrible option?

To me anyone that I've ever loved or cared about is a personal treasure to me and I cannot fathom that I would want to erase them from my memories because I believe that even if love doesn't always work out that it's better to HAVE loved a person and appreciated them than to have no recollection that you even ever knew them let alone loved them.

This movie has some huge philosophical and ethical issues associated with it by the way but I'm just asking how others feel about past relationships that they've had and whether accepting the pain along with the memories is the best choice or not? I think it IS. What do you think?

Okay on a more serious note. Feb 25, 2006 8:49 pm

Although I am in a great mood, I want to turn to the more serious side of my personality and share a couple of poems I wrote back in January about two students of mine that both happened to die in the same year. Ironically they were both in the same period too.

An Elegy for Shelley, A Victim of Her Mother's Suicide.

It seems I barely knew you child
Before you lost your life.
So sad you were a victim
Of your mother's grief and strife.

I still recall the cold grey day
I heard that you were gone.
I shook my head in disbelief
She cannot be the one.

I think of you when traveling north.
Although I haven't cried.
Your chance for college, love and fun
Are lost because you've died.

An Elegy for Daunell

I still remember you.
You were tall, a little shy.
But bright.

We lost you one April.
A lovely flower in Spring.
You died.

I still can see your face.
It's as if you're still with us.
But gone.

I took things to your mom.
She thanked me despite her grief.
She cried.

You've been gone nineteen years.
Yet I've never forgotten you.
Angel child.

When the life of a child is suddenly snuffed out, the grief is magnified ten fold for the parent who must deal with it. To anyone who has EVER lost their child my heart goes out to you.

How Much Mileage Can I Get? :) Feb 25, 2006 7:25 am
Mood: devious, 1086 Views
Okay, you know the last three weeks have been so much fun for me that I have completely gotten over the funk I was in back in early January.

I think that the main thing was that I just needed to be showered with love and attention from all of my many friends so that I could bask in that and feel special.

I am SUCH an attention seeker though I think I am a sick man. LOL! I'm reminded of Brass in Pocket by The Pretenders.

"I gotta have some of your attention, give it to me."

Soooooooo true

I don't want to dwell on the past really, I would really rather enjoy the present and not think too hard yet about the future because the future makes me a little nervous too.

My friend Lynney affectionately calls me a hedonist LOL! I told her, "Lynney I'm not a hedonist, I'm just an "attention slut". LMAO!

Nowwwwwwww, how do I keep this fun, cute, flirtatious and enjoyable momentum going? I think by laughing, joking, being witty, clever and fun will help a lot. That is really my natural tendency, is towards positivity so hopefully I will stay on the current tack.

Now my next piece of art must be another epic adventure of my special desserts. LOL! I have an entire audience it seems of avid female readers clamoring for more. I think they really just LOVE cheesecake personally
Of course the way THIS cheesecake is being eaten might make it taste all the better.

Long But Enjoyable Evening. Feb 24, 2006 11:00 pm

Wow I just got home a little bit ago. I had a long day but lots of fun too. After my day I went to a local hangout with a couple colleagues and socialized. They picked up my food and drink tab which was nice of them. Then after working 3 hours at my other job I went to my hangout where I sing karaoke every week. At first it wasn't crowded and I sang twice but then suddenly people poured in and the place was jammed. Three of my friends showed up this week, Lisa, Rhett and Lisa's good friend Jana. We played two games of darts and I won the first game Wooohoooo, I usually really suck at darts. LOL Then Lisa and I sang a duet, "I Got You Babe" by Sonny and Cher. Yes I DID sing Sonny's part.

I ended up staying later to sing one more time and arrived home around 12:30. Now I'v been reading messages, posts and blogs on FF trying to catch up with what's been happening.

Hmmmm this morning I got an invite from my sweet new friend Ari who from what I can tell is a lot of fun and is a pleasure to call a friend.

Well anyway I'm in a great mood and am still on the high left over from my birthday and all the attention got from all quarters last week.

Wow an Eye Opener :) Feb 23, 2006 2:20 pm
Mood: surprised, 1148 Views
Okay not to alarm anyone but just for kicks today I typed in my handle in a search engine and wow, I found out that a lot of the things I write and say are bought or archived on dating sites I've never even joined.

So when I write a blog here it can actually be copied and archived on another site and people can read what I write there as well.

In fact I just did an interview on FF magazine and that article can now be accessed on several other online dating sites which spooked me out a little bit, because it's not that I say things I regret but that tons of people can read these things without even being members of FF.

I found out the other day that my daughter has read my blogs and she's not even a member of FF.

She e-mailed me the other day asking me if I wanted anything for my birthday BESIDES cheesecake. LMAO

If you're curious do it yourself. Go to a major search engine I don't need to SAY the name, and type in your handle and see what pops up. Woo hoo. Kind of sobering.
