A Pledge of Positivity. Mar 12, 2006 11:19 am

I'm going to promise to be positive for 15 days in a row (at least). Positivity is the key to happiness, relieving stress and enjoying life. Negativity saps your strength, drains your energy, makes you sick and can cause death.

By its very nature life is cyclical and its impossible to always be happy but in my view if you look at the scales, being tipped towards the positive side most of the time is a great way to live your life. So in dedication to my 15 day positivity pledge, I'm going to throw out 15 things that I am happy about my life.

#1-I have wonderful friends who mean the world to me. I refuse to give them up for anything or anyone. They are mine and I love them all (some of them more than others)

#2-I am overwhelmingly positive most of the time as this blog illustrates.

#3-I love my family. They mean the world to me too.

#4-I love my work. I have the rare privilege to be entrusted to other people's children. This is both a challenge and an honor. I love my kids. They are special to me. I think most of them feel the same about me. They know I care about them and because they know they work for me.

#5-I love FF. Not that this isn't obvious.

#6-I enjoy music and singing. It has become my one window of entertainment to the outside world. I live for karaoke on Fridays and enjoy being up in front singing songs.

#7-I love to write. I mostly love to write funny things because it reflects the humorous side of my personality.

#8-I love to laugh and joke around. I sometimes go too far but that's just me.

#9-I love to fish and like going on trips to interesting places.

#10-I love playing games, I especially like chess and roleplaying games but also enjoy computer games.

#11-I love socializing. I'm never going back to the life of a hermit where I do nothing. I want to live to the fullest and have fun.

#12-I value my education and my intelligence. I am blessed.

#13-I have been blessed with good health.

#14-I have been blessed with an outgoing, fun and playful personality.

#15-Longevity runs deep in my family so I feel like I'll probably have many happy years to come (with or without teeth). LOL!

Okay I don't often talk about my family on my blogs but I'm going to make an exception here because my son and I went out together tonight to my regular hangout and we both sang karaoke which was a lot of fun.

His birthday is on Monday and he has been in town since last Thursday for Spring Break. He has to go back to school on Sunday so he won't be here for his birthday.

I couldn't believe it because he got up and sang "What I Got" by Sublime an awesome song and he did a great job. I think that was the first time he'd ever sung solo.

If you wanted me to describe my son I would have to say that he got his wicked sense of humor and smartassiness from me.

He is a redhead and he loves improvisation, having fun and joking around just like his old man.

Yet when it comes right down to it, he is shy around women and one really gorgeous woman was coming on to him tonight some and he just smiled and acted like no big deal.

She was really hot too and she even danced with me and then thanked me and kissed me on the cheek *blushing*

I sang 4 times tonight because it wasn't very busy. That's sort of a mixed blessing because when it's not busy you get up to sing more often but there's not too many people to hear you either.

Anyway I've decided to post a picture taken last year of me and my son together. He's a lot taller than I am (which isn't saying much)LOL!

I like that song and it's perfect for me taking the time to say some of the things about those friends I've met here on FF that mean so much to me, and what I like about them.

Ari-Beautiful, smart, funny, sexy, smartass everything I look for in a woman. Woooooooo Better cool off

Moony-Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm smart, funny, flirtatious, sexy, devilish, hot. Can I have both of these two?

Eli-Tall, gorgeous, flirty, fun. Mmmmmmmmmmm !!! She makes me crazy.

Jeannie-Funny, shy, pretty, soooo much fun to have gotten to know.

Lynney-I love you lady but don't let it go to your pretty little head and keep those smelly little ferrets away from me.

Carole-I'm cuckoo for you girlie. Come and give me some tender loving nursing care. Don't know how we managed the group before you came?

Maggie-When are you going to call me again? I love your voice even though I only get to hear it on my voice mail. LOL!

Ems-I can't even put it into words. Wow!!

Her heart raced pounding in her chest they would kiss for the first time tonight. He approaches, his arms wrap around her.

In a dark living room with only the dim light of a quarter moon to guide them their lips find each other. She feels as if she has waited a lifetime for this moment. His lips kiss her hard, they melt into one another for what seems an eternity. Her legs are feeling weak as she has been standing all of this time in his embrace wanting to never let go.

His lips now leave hers and despite her longing for them to remain hard on her mouth they find even more pleasing places to arouse her senses and her passions. His lips are on her neck on her left side. His hands weave inside her beautiful locks and gently pull her to the side while he kisses the side of her neck for what seems again like an eternity. Her hands now fully embrace him and she pulls him forward into her as he nips her neck before rising up to the bottom of her ear where he whispers how much he cares as he continues to kiss her under the ear.

His hands now grab her shoulders, she can feel his warmth against her. The temperature feels extraordinarily hot, had she turned up the thermostat? She didn't care now, hot enough to melt her. They both closed their eyes lost in this kiss of a lifetime.

Queen Strawberry Cheesecake was getting impatient (and h-ey). The long journey to visit her beautiful cousin Cherry-Ari Cheesecake of the Sexy Woods had taken far longer than she had anticipated. Her strawberry jam was beginning to dry out from disuse and she finally stopped and unlocked the manacles on her love god man slave Lord Adonis and allowed him to refresh her with a few licks and bites of both her glistening graham cracker crust as well as her jam smeared quivering top. Now turned on she was ready to resume her odyssey.

With Adonis back in chains and behaving himself now that his lusty appetite for her had been temporarily sated, the party continued marching through the Sexy Woods a land where even the trees seemed to be engaged in some sort of grotesque erotic ritual. Just walking through these woods turned on even the most priestly of men and women. This group didn't stand a chance. LMAO!!

Finally just when she was about ready to unchain Adonis for another refreshment break she heard the cherry sweet voice of of Princess Cherry Ari Cheesecake Fairy of the Sexy woods who approached wearing little but a smile, a loin cloth and a thick coat of cherry jam that rivaled Strawberry's on her lucious quivering top. There was so much quivering going on in the Sexy woods that even the trees ceased their erotic rituals to cool off.

Cherry Ari (for short, she's only 5'2") spoke haughtily now to her cousin for they hadn't seen one another for over a year. It is well to see you again my lovely cousin, I see you have brought Lord Adonis. I shall need to personally inspect him and vice versa before he is allowed to enter the royal glade. Strawberry chafed some at the prospect of having her cousin inspecting and being inspected by her own slave god, but she was a guest in the sexy woods and saw little point in refusing, plus she wanted to help in the inspections too and planned to insist upon it as queen. LOL!

Lord Adonis meanwhile needed a tonic to settle him down as he took in the conversation still in a daze from the previous love fest earlier in this edition of the story.

He'll never remember and she'll never forget

He'll want to make love and so will she but never at the same time.

She'll drive him crazy but he'll never stop and ask for directions as to where "crazy" is.

She'll never stop talking and he'll never start listening

He has selective hearing and she has selective memory.

He thinks he controls her and she thinks she controls him and both are correct.

He looks at other women and so does she but their motivations for doing so are two separate deadly sins. LOL

Once he gives up the remote she's got him. LOL!

Still quivering all over from being consumed by her pleasure man slave, Adonis the god of passion Queen Strawberry Cheesecake received an urgent message from her lovely cousin, Cherry-Ari Cheesecake Princess of the Sexy Woods.

"Come at once darling, as Zeus is having a toga party and he wants as much yummy consumable cheesecakes as possible. Bring your god-man slave, Lord Adonis as well as we need god-man slave hunks too even though Zeussy does get pissed easily."

So Queen Strawberry Cheesecake applied ample amounts of luscious red strawberries smothered in jam to her quivering top and set off with her attendants to travel on an odyssey to Cherry-Ari-Cheesecake-Sexy Woods LOL!

Her creamy filling quivered at thoughts of what what would happen to her when she was faced with both Zeus and Adonis at the same time? Would they both desire to consume her? Would she have enough creamy cheesecake filling to satisfy such lustful godly appetites. She already knew that her personal god man slave Adonis had driven her crazy when she gave herself to him completely just a few short weeks ago. LMAO!!

Now of course she smiled as she tugged on his chain and made him march along in his proper place 10 paces behind her so he could admire her crusts but not reach them with his manacled hands. LMAO!!..... to be continued.

I had the most fun I've had inwhile karaoking last night. First I was already just in a great mood even before I arrived, having had a great week for the most part.

It was really busy last night. There was almost no place to sit down, but Chris got me up to sing first and there were these two really lovely ladies both in their 20's named Darcy and Ashley and my song happened to be their favorite song so they were right up front standing up singing along and making me almost laugh.

I had a couple of groupies LMAO! Well later they got up again when I sang. It just made me smile and laugh because they were so nice to me and of course they gave me some attention.

My friend Ronda was back too, so unfortunately I didn't get home until almost 1:00 AM but it was worth it because I had a riot.

Okay tonight is Brucey's karaoke night but if I were singing a song for you, what song would you like me to sing? Would it be a love song, or just a song with a beautiful melody? Or would the lyrics and the words be meaningful to you?
