Hard to believe it's already March. Seems like this past 12 months flew by. I guess it always seems that way as we get older.

I really love my second semester schedule as I have almost no stress or pressure. It's now going to be a fairly long stretch before my next vacation which is at Spring Break in April.

The weather keeps changing daily around here as it is bitterly cold one day and then about 3 days later is close to 50F. This weekend is supposed to be warm and today it's already light jacket weather, which should help moderate the heating bills here.

I have finally found the way to turn at least a couple pages in my life. I am more of a reactive rather than a proactive person when it comes to relationships, so for me, it is difficult to close doors to the past, but I think I have finally been able to do it this year as certain realizations have dawned on me.

I look to the future more now than I have the past couple years, because the past really has nothing to return to, other than faded pleasant memories.

My son will be 24 in 12 days. I expect to see him at Spring Break around Easter which is coming up early this year compared to the last several years.

Health and happiness are above average right now (knock on wood). I have some family concerns for others but my own health and happiness meter is stable and reasonable.

Right now my main means of entertainment and enjoyment is my political discussion group here on FF and my karaoking which has expanded to 4 nights a week.

While I would love to do other things besides karaoke 4 times a week, the real problem is more of a budgetary one. Karaoke, relatively speaking is cheap and inexpensive. I can get about 4 hours of entertainment at karaoke for $3-$5 whereas try finding very many other means of entertainment involving interaction with others that costs less per week?

Movies? Museums? Eating out? All of those cost more even for just me alone in one session than 4 nights of going to karaoke.

Another bit of good news on the karaoke front is that this week our state legislature passed a new anti-smoking bill which means that as of June 1st, there will not be any smoking allowed in karaoke bars or for that matter any other businesses.
