Alright, Who Stole June? Jul 2, 2006 8:46 am

Alright someone fess up. Whoever stole the month of June needs to bring it back right NOW .

Man did the month ever race by. I can't believe it's gone already. It's almost 4th of July. When I was a child 4th of July was my second favorite holiday behind Christmas. I was crazy about fireworks. I used to save every cent I had from January on to pay for fireworks to shoot off on the 4th.

Fortunately I lived in a state and a city where fireworks were sold legally. Now days, the 4th is nice but I don't think of it in nearly as fondly of terms. It's really now about the half way point between the Summer for me.

Anyway June was very dry this year around here which doesn't bode well because we have been in a drought in this state for several years and most of our Summer rain always happens in June. July and August are usually very hot and very dry. Since I live in a farm state I'm sure this is not really what people want.

So anyway those 30 days of June had to have been stolen by somebody so I might call the police and ask them to search for the thief who stole June this year, unless he/she turns themself in soon. LOL!

Okay it's Saturday 8:33 PM right now and I've decided I'm going to go out for the second night in a row.

I always go out on Fridays, but I'm going to go karaoking at a different place tonight, one closer to my home.

They have yummy nachos there too, to die for, so I think I'll go stuff my face with nachos and do some karaoking LOL!

Hey you could all meet me there if you hurry?LOL!

Hmmm, seeing as how there's a swimming pool about 50 feet away from me today when I got home I just could not resist taking a dip.

So about 2:30 or so I got into my suit, covered myself with Coppertone and went for a cool dip in the pool.

Hmmmmmm, so what do you think of me? Don't I look great for my age? Hehehehehe

Still working on my tan, my hope is that by Summer's end people will stop saying, "Hey Casper"LOL!

Hmmmm, I think after almost a full year of this that I am starting to run into blogger's block.

I have not thought of anything particularly inspiring or exciting to say lately so I haven't been saying much of anything.

Mostly I've been, eating, singing, working, and doing mundane stuff like household projects, shopping for groceries and the like. Ooo and I've been watching quite a few movies lately.

I've also been sleeping pretty late too since it's Summer. I'd love to go somewhere but don't know if I can afford it. I feel like the old Charlie Brown situation where he needed a workbench but couldn't build it without a workbench. I've got the time to go somewhere but if I leave I'll lose the income needed to pay for the vacation. LOL!

The boy has talked about another one of our Summer adventures so that's a possibility. Last year we went to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It was fun.

Hmmmm, I had one of those really annoying optical migraines this afternoon. If you've never had one you're lucky. Basically you cant see out of your eye. It's like there's a blank spot blocking your view. I think they're caused by overuse of a computer. The only cure is just to rest. So I took a nap for two hours and it went away.

Hmmmm, well it's a Saturday night and I'm just kind of chilling here talking to some friends online as usual but relaxing.

I wish that I could think of something funny, witty, clever or profound to say, but right now for various reasons I've kind of set my blog to "mute".

I'm one of those people who figures why bother to write a bunch of stuff if it's just boring and no one cares?

Will say the NCAA College World Series is over this weekend. It is sort of a ritual in and of itself and has been held here in June for over 50 years.

I believe that the national college baseball champion this year will either be the North Carolina Tar Heels or the Oregon State Beavers. Oregon State is the most interesting story of the series. They lost very badly in their first game last Saturday night. They have then won all of their games including a rematch with the team that blew them out in the first game. They then won 2 out of 3 against Rice to make into the finals.

I am tempted to go out and sing tonight rather than tomorrow night because I'm bored. Ah well, we have gotten rain today for a change which is good. It has been a pretty hot and dry month for June around here.

Hmmm, I KNOW I did a blog yesterday but I must have forgotten to submit it because it never appeared, not even on my own page.

So if anyone HAS my missing blog will they please return it to me. I can't imagine what anyone else would want with MY blog. LOL!

But it's all about ME LOL!

Seriously, I'm in a pretty good mood. Stayed up late last night due to karaoke, but then slept late today too.

I am enjoying my 25 inch color tv very much and just finished watching one of my all time favorite movies, Last of the Mohicans.

This movie is an historical fiction set in the French and Indian War in the U.S. in the 1760's. The story takes place in upstate New York and the seige of Fort William Henry by the French Marquis de Montcalm and his Indian allies. It stars Daniel Day Lewis as Hawkeye the adopted son of the last Mohican chief.

The movie has everything, beautiful women, handsome men, war, excitement, violence, passion and fabulous music. I'll be humming the beautiful themesong now for the rest of the day.

Well anyway if anyone finds my blog, please return it to me. LOL! Afterall it IS mine.

Okay haven't done one for over a week so it's time to shout out words of love and encouragement to all my wonderful friends and acquaintances here on FF. So here goes. Remember if I don't include you just let me know and I'll put you in.

Ari-You are a wonderful, caring, lovely person. I hope that you find all the joy and happiness that you deserve in the future and I'm not kidding.

Dionne-It's been so much fun getting to know you hon. I wish you were still here on FF but understand you are other places instead.

Lynney-You continue to be my true blue best friend. I am so lucky to have you as my friend I treasure you.

Carole-I know you've been busy and have had some things going on but just want you to know your friendship means a lot to me. I hope you become really active again because you are a lot of fun.

Sinny-I think you are a great lady. I'm so glad I've gotten to know you. You are wonderful.

Jeannie-I hope you are enjoying your "footy" matches and I hope Germany wins, especially since you painted a flag on your face. LOL!

Emma-I'm very happy for you. I hope everything works out for you. You deserve it.

Cindela-Thanks for the nice Father's Day comment on MS. Glad you had a blast at your housewarming BBQ.

Sharon-Thanks so much for inviting me to your karaoke party. Even though I didn't stay the whole night I enjoyed singing Gordon Lightfoot.

Misty-It's been great starting to get to know you. Hope you get out of school for the Summer pretty soon so you can enjoy a vacation.

Debbie-I'm still waiting for my cheesecake? I hope you didn't eat it or you'll be in trouble LOL!
